BIG NEWS!! We are partnering with for our second-annual Community Darkroom 517 show and reception!!

Our pieces will be up during April, and we'll celebrate YOU, our amazing community, on Friday, April 12th from 6-8pm. Please join us for drinks and appetizers as we honor your hard work!

Submission guidelines:
- All submissions MUST be in by March 21
- Each participant may submit up to 2-3 photos
- Pieces must have been developed or created in some part at the CD517 lab between April 2023 - the present. You may submit digitally-printed images that you developed at the lab.

Come to the darkroom and learn how to print a picture with coffee ☕️ We are excited to once again partner with our friends for another caffenol workshop on 11/18. Coffee for printing and drinking will be provided by (donuts too!) Sign up link in bio.

Caffenol is an alternative analog process that uses coffee and other sustainable ingredients to create a solution for film and print development.

Come join Community Darkroom 517 (CD517) members for a beautiful evening photo walk! Bring your own camera, and each person will get a roll of film! Support will be available to help load, troubleshoot, and teach. Shooting digitally is also welcome; the more photographers, the merrier!

Intermission: Lansing Shuffle

Incredible show opening last night. What a fantastic community ❤️ much thanks to for the support that helped make this happen and for hosting and .focus for these photos. Mark your calendars ✍️Next open lab-March 9th we’ll be set up for negative scanning! Both flatbed and DSLR scanning available. Come scan a roll of film. Much thanks to .focus who will be bringing his DSLR scanning set up to us and the Arts Commission for funding to purchase the flatbed scanner, which will stay at the darkroom to be used by all. First come, first serve! 6-9pm
