Brave Space and OOTL teamed up to bring a little extra fun to Youth Drop-In hours!

We shared meaningful conversations, wrote some incredible poetry, created some seriously cool shoes, and got to know one another and ourselves along the way.

But the BEST part?
The way we made space for one another to feel seen, heard, valued, and truly known. 🫶🏽

And that first picture? 😂
Honestly, that’s pretty much how we roll almost every week! Silly faces, lots of laughter, a little chaos, and A WHOLE LOT of honesty. Because showing up as your authentic self should always be welcomed.

Here’s to creating spaces where young people can express themselves, connect, and know that they matter.

I've been reflecting a lot lately. There was a time where a lot of what I have was simply just a dream. A had written out ideas of what I wanted, a house, a career with impact, a sense of purpose, belonging, and I wanted to carry Joy.

I had to believe it was possible before any evidence showed that it was. I took little steps and big steps to get to where I am at today. And the boldness and bravery to do that, shape how I see the world.

In a few months it will be 1 year that I stepped into working for Brave Space full time, and as we step into this month it's officially been one year I've been a homeowner.

I can't take all the credit for this year of success, God and my community have lifted my mind, heart and arms when I was tired or afraid.

But when I see this picture, I see a woman who carries joy, who got her prayers answered, who is so happy to be exactly where she is in life. And it's rare we pause and appreciate those moments.

Keep taking steps towards your dreams.
Write down your vision and make it plain.
And surround yourself with people who see you, believe in you, and support you.

A moment someone says "I believe im your vision"
Or it can look like showing up to an event in the midst of your busy schedule. It can be choosing to get on the mic even as your voice shakes. It can be offering up your business as a space for an event. Still reflecting on how grateful we are for all the incredible people in the room at StrEATs Taco Kitchen, thanks to Jill Meiste-Emmick.

The conversations, connections and financial support all support the mission of supporting students, and giving them spaces to feel seen, heard and known. Why? Because we know when a someone feels seen, they can be helped. Brave Space through Brave Space, was built to help students gain tools to continue to choose life.
