Happy 68th Recital Day to everyone at TDCEH!
It will never get old watching our beautiful students on stage showcasing a years worth of hard work.
Seeing friends cheering on friends from the wings.
Seeing a shy child come to life with so much expression.
From the tiniest dancer taking their first step on the big stage, to the High School Graduate taking their final bow it is beautiful and bittersweet.
Seeing the choreography come to life and feeling pride knowing you did that.
It’s a years work of love wrapped into several beautiful shows, that become the memories we cling to for years to come.
It’s the extended family that we gain, not by blood, not by marriage, but by a common thread of sharing and being a part of this beautiful live art form .
For me, Dance is everything. Live art is my happy place and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Happy 68th Mom, you amaze me with your resilience. You wouldn’t let a small hip fracture from a battle with a garbage bag handle keep you from your kids:), you simply “roll” quite literally with the punches and beam with pride.
And, lastly, Happy 1st thru 68 to all those in attendance today. May the love of Dance fill each of you with pride, excitement, laughter and a beautiful escape for a little while.
