Along with so many in the East End, today we celebrate the life of Mary Heilmann, who passed away Friday in Riverhead at the age of 86. Her bold and thoughtful artwork cements her lasting legacy, and we thank her for her inspiration as an artist and a friend.

A year after the HIFF 2023 World Premiere of MARY HEILMANN: WAVES, ROADS, AND HALLUCINATIONS, Matt Creed’s wonderful documentary on the life and career of the esteemed Hamptons artist, we were honored that Mary agreed to contribute her artwork for our HIFF 2024 poster.

Thank you to all who joined us for our second SunmerDoc of the season, THE LION QUEEN at Guild Hall !

Following a stunning reception at The Baker House 1650, our audiences saw the unbelievable documentary following Swiss socialite, Jocelyn Wildenstein, known by 90s tabloids as “the catwoman,” and the Wildenstein Art empire.

The film was followed by a lively Q+A with producer Caroline Baron, co-directors Alden Nusser and Ben Fries, and moderated by HamptonsFilm board chair Alec Baldwin and chief creative officer David Nugent.
