What a wonderful day at the Essex Arts Festival! ❤️

Today was filled with great conversations, new connections, and several original paintings finding new homes-including two framed pieces to a lovely couple. (I may have mistakenly identified their accent as Danish at first even though he particularly is from England... thankfully they had a great sense of humor about it! 😄)

Days like this remind me how grateful I am for the people who make this journey possible. Thank you to every collector who stopped by, shared a story, asked about my work, or chose to bring a piece home. Your support means more than you know.

I'll be back tomorrow at the Essex Arts Festival from 11 AM–5 PM on the Essex Town Green. If you're nearby, stop in and say hello!

Opening show this upcoming Friday. This piece will hang at the Essex Art Gallery in CT until July 5th.

Art festival prep is officially underway! 🎨

I'm packing up dozens of my Tiny Art originals for the Essex Arts Festival on the Essex Town Green during Father's Day weekend, June 20–21. These little paintings have become collector favorites, and many of the pieces currently available online will be coming with me to the festival.

If you've had your eye on a particular Tiny Art painting, today is your last chance to purchase it through my website before I remove inventory to prepare for the show.

Browse the collection and purchase by end of day:

After today, available pieces will be headed to Essex, where they'll be available for purchase at the festival.

Thank you for supporting my art journey. I can't wait to see which pieces find new homes next! ❤️

Still on the easel and finally carrying its name: Charting Light, 24x24in, Mixed Media on Canvas.

Created for a juried exhibition with a sailing theme, this piece took on a life of its own through layers of paint, collage, and revision. Some paintings seem to know where they're going long before I do.

I'm looking forward to seeing where this one lands.

I'm honored to share that one of my original mixed media bird paintings has found its new home in New Jersey.

What makes this sale especially meaningful is that the collector is a returning collector. Knowing that my artwork continues to resonate beyond the first purchase is something I never take for granted.

Every painting carries a piece of my creative journey, and it's incredibly rewarding to know this little bird will now become part of another chapter in someone's home.

To my collector, thank you for your continued support, trust, and appreciation of my work. It means more than words can express.

I’m incredibly honored to share that my painting Undertow Garden was accepted into the juried exhibition at the Essex Art Association Gallery in Essex, Connecticut.

This one means a lot to me.

I’ve only submitted my work to a gallery once before, and it turned out to be more of a “pay-to-play” situation than a true selection process. So having this piece chosen for a juried show at such a beautiful gallery - surrounded by the work of so many talented artists - feels deeply meaningful and validating.

I don’t expect to win an award, and honestly… that’s okay. Being selected already feels like a win.

Art can be such a solitary process. So moments like this, where your work connects enough to be invited into a space like this, matter more than I can explain.

Grateful, excited, and still a little stunned.

Fresh off the easel! 🎨 🖼

Here is a dyptych titled, "Submerged Language", 24x24in ea:
-Piece 1 title: Undertow Garden
-Piece 2 title: Surface Bloom

There’s a moment in every painting where it either opens up… or you push too far. These two lived right on that edge.

Layers of collage, inks, acrylic, spray paint, and oil built up slowly, then partially taken back. At one point I brought in charcoal marks, thinking they’d anchor the depth. They didn’t. So I scrubbed them out and let the painting breathe again.

That’s the part of the process we don’t always talk about: editing, removing, undoing. Letting the work tell you what it actually needs instead of what you think it should be.

One piece settled into something deeper and more grounded. The other stayed light, almost untouchable. Together they feel like two states of the same place.

I am so glad I didn't fall prey to forcing a resolution and allowed my intuition to let me know when to stop.
