Make Music Upper Perk Always June 21st,
Make Music Upper Perk celebrates music and community, bringing people together! The first notes drop at 9 a.m. the final ones fade at 10 p.m.

Make Music is an international movement to celebrate the power of local music. Cities, towns, and hamlets all over the world will be making music on June 21st, on the longest day of the year. Since 2013, Make Music Upper Perk has been part of this worldwide celebration. MMUP will take place at over 20 venues in five towns throughout the Upper Perkiomen Valley. All performances are free & open to t

he public! Musicians of all ages and abilities are included, both amateurs and professionals. Everyone is a volunteer: organizers, musicians, site hosts, etc. For more information on how to participate, or to see the program, follow this page -- or go to ValleyArtScene.wordpress.com. We are always glad for our returning venues: Representing Sumneytown is the Sumneytown Hotel , who will be open for lunch on June 21s. Grab a bite, and tap your toes .. Green Lane Chiaro’s has been a venue for quite some time with musicians over the lunch hour. But this time it will be all day, from 11 a.m. till 8:30 p.m.

From 11 – 4 you can hear some talented musicians at Raw Replenish. Smoothies are optional, but trust us….you want one! ...

A long standing venue for the past 14 years has been Pennsburg United Church of Christ. Since the very beginning, they have opened up their space and welcomed MMUP-goers. They have a hospitality table that offers free hot dogs and waters to the attendees. AND….they are doing a shoe drive this year! You can clean out a closet and then reward yourself by sitting under the wide canopy of the shade trees, with music and refreshment.

The spacious atrium of the YMCA is a lovely spot to enjoy music between 11 and 3 on June 21st. There are plenty of parking spots outside for the cars, and plenty of chairs inside for the people!

A NEW LOCATION for a former Venue is Yardley Antiques. You might remember their wide porch in East Greenville. They have moved to Pennsburg, and are in the former bridal shop. The musicians will be in their picture window. You’ll be able to see them from the outside, but you’ll have to step inside the building to hear the tunes. And you’ll get to see the treasures inside too! Park across the street and cross at the cross walk.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church - Pennsburg, PA has fully embraced their central place in the community by graciously opening up their sanctuary and their gazebo lawn . You'll find music of all kinds, both inside and outside. Just look! You could stay there all day and hear quite a span of styles.

If 16 venues aren’t enough, we have a few PopUp places to tell you about as well! These are unscheduled musical performances at designated spots. If you stop by the Andersen Porch at 321 Main St, Red Hill between 2 and 6, you can jam with Little Creek Band. Grab a bite at the Red Hill Fire Co Social Hall, there could be live music happening between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. You might be shopping at the Thrifty Frog (575 Main St., East Greenville) between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and there may be tunes among the treasures. Look for this sign!

The Community Benefits Garden of the Upper Perkiomen Valley Garden Club does a lot of good for the community. You can stop by and see for yourself when you go to hear the music. One faithful MMUP volunteers feels this is the very best spot in the Valley!
