October 3rd | PSI’s Climb for Hope : Buffalo 💙
For the third year, I’ll have the honor of photographing Postpartum Support International’s Climb Out of the Darkness here in Buffalo.
This event holds a very special place in my heart. I first found PSI during my own postpartum journey after having my second child. I showed up that year not only as a participant, but also as a sponsor in the form of the event photographer, and I remember feeling so deeply moved by the organization, its mission, and the community it creates for parents.
It’s one of those things I wish I had known existed during my first postpartum journey. To know that you aren't alone. That there are people who understand, resources available, and a community willing to walk beside you.
Since that first experience, being able to return each year with my camera has become so much more than simply photographing an event. It feels personal. I get to document the strength, vulnerability, connection, hope, and resilience of parents and families who show up for one another.
Postpartum mental health deserves to be talked about openly...without shame and without judgment.
So if you’re local and this message resonates with you, consider joining us on October 3rd at Chestnut Ridge Park, Shelter 13, from 2to 4 PM. You don't have to have the perfect words or know exactly what to expect. Just showing up matters.
You are not alone.💙
