The Hindi play reading workshop, conducted by Soma Vyas on Thursday, September 17th/2026, read the play “ Prem Ki Vedi” written by Munshi Premchand in 1933. This was his final and shortest dramatic work. 'Prem Ki Vedi' is a Hindi social drama based on the life of a modern Christian girl who believes in love without the boundaries of marriage, religion, and social norms. The play is a commentary on various societal issues like caste discrimination, religious sectarianism, and materialistic mindsets. It focuses heavily on women's issues, advocating for gender equality, economic independence, and reproductive/mental health awareness, which was a revolutionary concept at that time.
Coincidentally, it was an all-women group; everyone found the topic very engaging and modern. They all played multiple roles and actively participated in the discussion afterward.

WE WON!!
What a proud moment for Team Daldal! ❤️

🏆 Best Production
🏆 Best Actor
🏆 Best Female Actor

Heartfelt thanks to Ashish Chitale and the entire organizing team for this wonderful opportunity and for their thoughtful, timely, and professional coordination from the very beginning.

So proud of this talented and committed team. Everyyy single member contributed to bringing Daldal to life and making this achievement possible!

A special shout-out to V Shetye, Verma, and Abhijeet Kuray who stepped into newly assigned roles at the last minute without a moment’s hesitation—and embraced them wholeheartedly, with tremendous enthusiasm and dedication❤️

Knee surgery kept me away, so my team took a picture with an empty space in the centre—and then surprised me by photoshopping me into it! 🥹❤️

The awards made me proud, but having a team like this made me feel like the real winner. ❤️
