Artists From Suburbia Theatre organization in East Bridgewater, MA. Founded in 2015 Produce works inclusive of artists and audiences from marginalized communities.

Artists from Suburbia was founded in 2015 as a new community-based theatre initiative with four major goals:

1. Allow community members from diverse backgrounds to participate in innovative, new theatrical works in which their unique voices and perspectives will be heard, respected, and valued.

2. Support and incorporate works and talents of established artistic professionals, semi-professional

s, and highly trained individuals alongside and amongst less-experienced members of their community, creating a system of mutual growth, empathy, and education.


3. Provide works outside of the traditional community theatre canon to local audiences for free or at a low cost. We allow the above guidelines to dictate every aspect of our process, including selection of works, selection of rehearsal and performance spaces, scheduling, casting, and publicity. We aim to present productions that incorporate new voices and varying performance methods, including multi-media techniques, puppetry, and stylized movement.
