I’ve always liked a road trip that gives you a little chill down your back. North Carolina has plenty of pretty drives, but the spooky stops are the ones people talk about for years after.

Old houses with shut-up windows, quiet cemeteries, tunnels, inns, and places where folks still whisper about strange lights or footsteps after dark. That kind of history sticks with you because it feels close enough to touch.

Half the fun is hearing the stories from somebody who swears they saw something. Even if you don’t believe every legend, you still drive away looking in the rearview mirror a little more than usual.

I’m glad places like this keep their stories alive. 👇👇

449 Years Ago Today!

Black Shuck, Old Shuck, or just Shuck is said to haunt the East Anglica, English countryside. Some consider it a harbinger of doom while others claim the beast is a hound from Hell itself. Whatever the case, even now, hundreds of years later, the tale still haunts and intrigues us.

Keep it Creepy!
