Firebird Raceway Firebird Raceway offers events from late-March through mid-October, including the Nightfire Nationals every August.

Firebird Raceway is a family run facility sanctioned by the National Hot Rod Association. For better than five decades, Idaho's largest motorsport's facility has offered events starting in late-March and continuing through the end of October. Racers compete at Firebird from all over the nation at a wide-variety of races. The track's most popular events include the Ignitor, the Nightfire and Halloween Classic in October.

Did you ever wonder when Firebird Raceway first introduced Jet Dragsters?

If you guessed 1979, you're correct.

The occasion was the 3rd Annual Fox Hunt, featuring legendary showman and childhood movie actor "TV Tommy" Ivo along side the "Star Wars" Jet Dragster driven by Bill Crane. More than four and a half decades later, the sights, sounds and sheer excitement of Jet-powered machines remain every bit as thrilling as they were back then.

We look forward to lighting the fuse once again this Saturday night in celebration of 49 years of the Fox Hunt.

🔥 Jet Car performances begin at 6:30 PM, with a spectacular under-the-lights appearance at 10 PM.

Jet Cars return to Firebird this Saturday night!

The Little Caesars Great American Fox Hunt presented by Kendall Auto Idaho takes place June 12-13 featuring Jet Cars, Funny Cars, Supercharged Dragsters and Roadsters presented by Good Vibrations Motorsports.

For nearly five decades, the Fox Hunt has delivered some of the most unique sights and sounds in motorsports — and this year promises to be no exception.

Ladies are admitted FREE on the tower side throughout the event.

Very cool having three generations of Kidd family at a Private Track Rental Day before the Midnight Grudge Drags on Sat. night. McKenna Kidd got her first opportunity to run her new Nova with assistance from her husband/coach Rayce Kidd.

And she did great in getting some practice runs in before the Great American Fox Hunt on June 12-13.
