Dear Fellow Cyclocross riders,

With sadness, we must report that we will not hold the annual Eagle Island Cyclocross event this year (2021). Unfortunately, we have too many conflicts with the core organizers of our events, among some other issues.

We are sad to announce that there will not be any Mud or Gears this year at Eagle Island Cyclocross - just tears. Due to the current Covid situation we are cancelling the 2020 edition of EICX.

Oooo - new barriers this year! Less than 15 hours to pre-register for EICX. Extra treats for those who pre-register!

Some last minute instructions for all ye racers:

Yes - we will have day-of-race registration on site. Please allow extra time before your race for registration. Registration will close 20 minutes before the start of each wave. As always, please BE NICE to the registration folks and all our volunteers. We want them to be willing to help at future events.

We will use SWICA numbers. If you do not have a SWICA number, one will be assigned to you. Affix race numbers on the LEFT SIDE. If you have your shoulder numbers, please use them as it will be helpful to the race officials. If you race the same category grouping (4/5, 3, or 1/2) in cross and road, you'll be using the number you were already assigned during road season. If you race a different category (e.g. 3 on the road but 4/5 in cross) you'll be assigned a new category-correct number. If this is your first race of the year, you will also be assigned a brand new number.

Don't forget about the FREE kids race at 2:00 – bring your child. Bring your niece/nephew. Bring some random kid you pick up on the way to the race (but bring their parent guardian too so they can sign the waiver for the child).

We are planning on having the course laid out by 9:30 the day of race.

12:00 pm Womens Cat 1/2/3/4/5 age 18 to 99 - 45 Min
1:00 pm Mens Pro/Cat 1/2/3 age 18 to 99 - 50 Min
2:00 pm *KIDRACE* age 3 to 10 - 7 Min - FREE - registration on site
2:30 pm Men’s & Women’s Juniors Cat 1/2/3/4/5 age 11-17; Mens Age 40-49 and 50-99 Cat 1/2/3/4/5 (though Masters Cat 1 & 2, and fast 3's are encouraged to race the 1 pm wave); Men’s and Women’s Single Speed Cat 1/2/3/4/5 all ages - 45 Min

If you qualify to race two waves and desire to race both, the second race will only cost $10. On the BikeReg site, you must put both races in your cart at the same time to see the discount.
