happy Women’s International Day! whew...collectively it took some time to get to this point to have “walang hiya” - no shame - to being a woman. it took us this long to appreciate all of our body parts, especially our womb space where we hold the most power 💥 with our sensuality, our beauty and grace, how can we not love and adore ourselves?! 🌸
and for those who identify as a woman with no womb, i see you and we celebrate and embrace you just as much! thank you for stepping into your identity as a woman!
yes sisters, we are in this together. there’s no competition but an upliftment of one another.

an attitude of gratitude is my spiritual practice lately. it’s an act of a simple prayer each day.
this past couple weeks i’ve dealt with family deaths, an aging dog, and a death of the old me.
while my emotions get heavy and cry, i let go of the old like a snake shedding its skin...knowing my tears make space for the new life = new me.

FULL HOUSE! Our hearts are overflowing from all the kapwas supporting our premiere night for Journey to Ifugao. It is taking us time to process all the emotions & reactions. Ultimately, we are so grateful for all our family, friends, and curious minds to come together to witness & celebrate a rite of passage and building of a community that is expanding & growing. We thank Mamerto for coming & blessing us with his presence.
We apologize to all our fellow kapwa who were unable to get inside from the over capacity 😭. In light of this we will have another screening of Journey to Ifugao this Saturday 5/11 @ 8pm at the “Kapwa Tao Fiesta” at the Women’s Center for Creative Work. We will also have another Q&A following the screening including Mamerto present.
For those that bought a tix and weren’t able to watch the premier, this screening is free to you. Just bring your tix to show us.
For viewing the film we ask for SUGGESTED DONATION $10 CASH. PayPal and Venmo are also accepted. This is first come, first serve so come early. This WILL fill up!
For the day-long “Kapwa Tao Fiesta” COME PLAY WITH US! From 12-9pm, you can have a chance to create, pray, learn, build and directly connect with us KAPWA and our special guest that hosted us afar on our Journey to Ifugao.

Art show was a success! Thanks to for telling me about the show and introducing me to some new Fil-Am artists friends. Pinays need the support of one another to uplift and grow strong in our craft. Philippine Expression Bookshop is one of its kind in L.A. If you’re Filipino and have not checked it out, there’s sO much waiting for you in store 💁🏻‍♀️
