With the new USBC regulations, it's time to get your balance holes plugged in your equipment.
8/1/20 Balance Holes are Illegal - Lets Get You Compliant Right Now

By now you know that USBC is banning the use of balance holes in bowling equipment beginning August 1st. Many, many bowling balls in use today will be illegal for use in competition following that date.
The cost is:
$35 to plug balance hole, Detox(oil removal from coverstock) and complete resurface to stock finish.
$25 to plug balance hole and a total resurface to stock finish.
$15 to just plug the balance hole.

8/1/20 Balance Holes are Illegal - Lets Get You Compliant Right Now

By now you know that USBC is banning the use of balance holes in bowling equipment beginning August 1st. Many, many bowling balls in use today will be illegal for use in competition following that date.

One of the logical questions out there is "how will my ball roll differently without a balance hole compared to how I'm used to it rolling?"

There has been a lot of information provided that shows how small a factor a balance hole makes on a symmetrical ball, and asymmetrical balls it's almost nothing at all. If you check out Storm's YouTube page, Hank Boomershine and Alex Hoskins do a series of videos with proof to this fact. It is long and data driven (read: dry and boring) but if you want to see the evidence, it's there for you to watch.
