Studio Sol Art Outreach

Hi friends. If you know me, Sara Middleton, personally, you probably know that this spring has been a challenging time of family health issues and changing priorities in my life. This has caused me to re-evaluate how I spend my time and energy now, and has made me realize that running free creative programming to try to reach as many people as possible is simply not sustainable for me. Simply put, I put all of my energy into the creative side of things, over-committed my time, and left no energy for fundraising. Studio Sol will pause for the remainder of 2026, with no camps or programs scheduled. I will update this page with additional decisions I make going forward.

Triumph Ink & Thread is community-minded, the items I order are always impeccably made, and they source the yummiest clothing items on which to print my designs. We’re partnering with Eagle Grove Chamber-of Commerce to feature Eagle Grove artists in the apartment above the Chamber office (soon to be an Airbnb for visitors).
We are looking for 2D (paintings, photography, other wall decorations) and 3D (small pottery and decorative items) original, locally handmade items—if accepted the creator can discreetly label with a description, price and contact information to arrange payment.
SIZE: Wall items should be 24”x36” or smaller, and pottery or knick knacks should be 5”x3”x8” or smaller (contact this page with questions).
STYLE: Neutral, subdued colors (dark or pale blues, grays, greens, whites, beige/tan/brown)
THEME: Iowa
To apply, submit photos and descriptions via DM to this page by 12/5/2025. Items will be chosen based on adherence to size, style, and theme guidelines. Not all qualified submissions may be chosen—depending on space and style considerations. Items will be displayed for 6 months, then evaluated for rotation.

STEAMFest at ICCC was so fun! The kids did a great job learning about animal prosthetics from Lazy J Rescue Ranch, then designing, building, and decorating their animal mobility devices with me! Thanks to everyone who made this a success!

🧸👩‍🎨🐮 Help Us Bring STEAMfest to Life... One Stuffed Animal at a Time!

We're teaming up with Studio Sol Art Outreach for ICCC STEAMfest 2025 at Iowa Central Community College! Together, we’ll showcase The Wizard of Paws episode featuring our very own Loretta 🐄🦿 and lead a hands-on activity where kids can design & build prosthetics for stuffed animals to take home. To make it happen, we need at least 100 clean, odor-free stuffed animals by November 5th.

You can drop off donations at any of the following locations:
📍 Eagle Grove Chamber-of Commerce
📍 Emerson Veterinary Clinic & Hospital in Eagle Grove
📍 Leah Jean Boutique in Clarion
📍 Humboldt Veterinary Clinic
📍 Northcentral Title Company/Humboldt Engravings
📍 J & J Candles Manson, IA

Local businesses can also sign up as drop-off partners, schools can host stuffed animal drives, far away supporters can mail donations (Lazy J Rescue Ranch, 1078 230th St., Goldfield, IA 50542), and local individuals are encouraged to donate at drop-off locations or share creative ideas to help reach the goal!
