We had a GREAT turnout for our audition workshop today! Thank you to everyone who showed up and welcomed each other with open arms as we took a crash course on the plot of Twelfth Night, learned the choreo for the dance callback, and learned the audition song. It was a great afternoon of community, dancing, singing, and playing make believe!

Join us this November as we celebrate community and love in this beautiful retelling of Shakespeare’s TWELFTH NIGHT. Written by Shaina Taub and Kwame Kwei-Armah, this production blends Shakespeare text with a folk-pop score that will stick in your head for weeks to come!

So proud of our students and the work they accomplished this week!!

Looking at the spectrum of superior scores really showcases the well rounded theatre offerings we have at DSA! Students scored superior in technical events, acting, musical theatre, AND dance!

Special congratulations to Aster Templeton, Max Wolfrum, and Lillie Martin for scoring TOP in category and earning a thespy award for Duet Acting and Costume Design!

Thank you to everyone who helped get our students to ITF!

The most amazing first day of ITF 2026!

Our students got to perform to roaring crowds and ended with a standing ovation for “Livin’ It Up on Top”. Watching them shine on that stage and be appreciated for their work was an extreme highlight for all of our theatre teacher careers.

Our students were praised for their professionalism by all of the adults running the event, and we finished our rehearsal early, so Concord Theatrical shared a video of the current Fates on Broadway wishing us a good luck for our performance!

Now to Thespy competitions, workshops, college callbacks and SO MUCH MORE!

Tomorrow morning, we take a record number of students to the International Thespian Festival in Indiana! Wish us break Legs and if you want to send us off, bring donuts and meet us at DSA around 6am as we plan to leave by 6:30! Passion, Love, Drive Troupe 5765!!!

Meet our student leadership team and the creative teams for our 4 plays and 1 musical that we will be creating tonight and tomorrow!!

Today after school all participants met, the actors said something they always wanted to do on stage and then they went home. The directors/playwrights/stage manager teams drafted their casts and then met to discuss their plays.

The playwright and composers are now at home creating something special that has NEVER been created before with deadline of scripts/scores in inboxes by 7AM!

Tomorrow, the actors and creative teams will return and put these plays together!
