This is not your average song circle, and we're excited to share... 🌈

Sing Praise! A Q***r Revival of Spirit, Song, and Sacred Belonging is led by KJ Song and sponsored by the Living Arts Collective.

This is for the people who used to sing but forgot how, the people who never sang but always wanted to. The ones who miss the singing in church but not the rest. It's for anyone hungry for Spirit without the strings, for a free voice that sings back, for a feeling of communal aliveness that lands like a full-body YES.

This is a song SERVICE, curated by KJ, without any dogma or religious affiliation. It's a place to let loose and sing songs that actually stir something deep.

You don’t need to be “musical.” You just need to come.

$20/30 suggested.

As a practice, printmaking has been around for a long time, and it has some sticking power!

We invite you to a linoleum carving workshop this Sunday, June 14 — two hours to carve your own design, ink it up, and print it onto paper and fabric.

Come find out more about the appeal of the craft: we find beauty in the way it roots you in your materials, connects you with the meditative nature of repetition, and could help you breathe new life into fabric you might have been ready to retire.

No experience required. Beginners and experienced artists both welcome.

Our guest teacher Amelia Shull will guide you through the full reduction process: carving your block, pulling a set of 6–10 prints, and pressing your design onto a t-shirt fabric patch to take home.

She'll also share how to source supplies and reuse materials so you can keep printing long after the class. You leave with your carved block, your prints, and a skill that stays with you.

Supplies provided. Preregistration required — link in bio.

Here's what this June looks like at the Living Arts Dancewaves 🍃

Every Sunday, we gather for a 90-minute guided movement journey that follows the energetic arc of a wave, moving through Gabrielle Roth's Five Rhythms: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness.

And each session is guided by a different set weaver, so every dance has its own flavor. For a sample of some of our past sets, check out the "previous dancewave playlists" tab on the Dancewave page on our website!

11:45am - Opening Circle (first time? this one's for you)

12:00pm - Living Arts Dancewave (~90 min)

1:30pm - Optional Closing Circle

First Sunday only (Jun 7):

10:10–11:11am - Song Circle Bring a song to share, or just come to listen. Instruments welcome.

We're launching into June with a full calendar of events!

Each Sunday, we invite you to join us at the downtown Geer St. location for our Living Arts Dancewaves. Our 90-minute waves offer an opportunity for authentic movement expression to a set (playlist) inspired by the seasons, 5Rhythms, and the Ousia philosophy.

If you have some Contact Improvisation experience, check out our Monday night Open Movement Jams or Tuesday night CI Lab. You can drop in to either: email our team at [email protected] with any questions!

We also have some special offerings this month: a first Sunday Song Circle, a Beginning Weaving Workshop, and our third Sunday Rhythm and Roots programming with featured guest instructors.

Sign up for our newsletter on our website to stay in the know about all upcoming events + keep your eyes on social media for more information throughout the month!

We hope to move, groove, and create with you soon 🍃
