Joyanna Moore is available Monday and Tuesday for wheel classes. These classes are for 2 people. It's a great opportunity to learn how to throw pot from a great gal that will take the time to teach you one on one how to center your clay, pull a pot and glaze it. Everyone has asked for wheel classes. Don't miss this opportunity!. Unlike the large classes offered in Dallas that have a teacher and 10-15 students these classes are small and feature individual instructions. We have a clay room and welcome anyone interested in doing slab and coil or sculping any time we don't have a class scheduled. Clay is $2 a pound, use of clay room and tools is $5. Firing charge depends on size of piece. If Mae isn't busy she'll be glad to show you how to play in the mud. So y'all come in any time from 1-7 any day but Wednesday and Sunday. Note this Monday 1-4 we will be doing clay-building with our Home School kids.

Well, it's time for an update on my sister, Joyce Prock. As most of you know she is a retired art teacher and counselor. Praying that she will get well enough to teach watercolor, gourd painting and paper mache classes again. She has HPP so her bones break easily. She also has Fibromyalgia rheumatica. She was getting into Penn's pick up and her knee buckled. Result: Kneecap broke horizontally. She had surgery Tuesday to put it back together in Norman. She is now in room 16 at Atoka Hospital for rehab. Likely will be there 30 days. Please put her on your prayer list.

We have lots of people inquiring about classes very few signing up to attend. If there is a specific craft or painting/glazing technique you would like to learn or teach, please just call or text the Maze Ceramics and More 580-644-5165. Right now we had mustard seed necklace class scheduled but since no one signed up. We're clay building today. The Elements Emporium is open next door next to Elements Art Center which is next to the Maze. We're at 212 W Evergreen, Durant, Okl Between 2nd and 3rd Street, 1 block North of Main.

TEXOMA ARTISAN AND CRAFTSMAN GUILD MEETS AT 6PM TODAY AT THE MAZE! ANYONE INTERESTED IN PROMOTING AND SUPPORTING ARTS AND CRAFTS IN THE AREA IS INVITED. WE ARE WORKING HARD TO GET PEOPLE WILLING TO HELP WITH A JURIED SHOW LATER THIS YEAR. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HELPING PLEASE COME.

Looking forward to seeing some Girl Scouts come in and make cookie plates, daisy boxes and cups. We have one lighted camp scene and can order more if you request them. This are licenced GSA bisque.
