Our new course "Workforce Prep" is a personalized mentorship program that focuses on the students' short-term and long-term theatre goals. Each week, students might schedule headshots, work on performance pieces or technical projects for class or productions, learn how to strengthen time management skills, research plays, playwrights, and/or theatre companies, or update their own resumes and scholarship paperwork. This course looks different for every artist, based on each student's immediate and future career goals.

Theatre at Southeastern spent the day with about 200 theatre students from across the state for this year's Oklahoma One Act Festival in Mustang, OK on Oct. 6th.

SE theatre majors, Z Asencio-Rivera and Cru Nolan were able to visit with high school students (and parents and teachers) about the affordable, unique, & hands-on opportunities available at Southeastern for those interested in performing, technical theatre and design, arts administration, or a combination of all three!

Not only did they meet with the next generation of theatre artists, but were also able to see 5 productions, expanding their dramatic literature repertoire and heightening their appreciation for plays/ scripts.

It was a great day! Thank you to Mustang High School for hosting this fantastic event.
