If you were inspired by the music this summer, help us make it possible for others to share in the experience!

Whether you were moved to tears by a soloist, swept away by the power of our full Festival Orchestra, or simply savored a special evening surrounded by music, you were part of something special this year.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of people like you to make these experiences possible, not just for those who can afford tickets, but for students, families, and community members across Southwest Colorado.

Your donation helps us:
🎶 Keep ticket prices accessible
🎶 Support music education programs in our regional schools
🎶 Attract world-class musicians to our small mountain community
🎶 Provide unforgettable musical experiences year after year

Our Festival Office is closed for the next couple of weeks to allow our staff some time to recoup (and enjoy some well-deserved R&R!) after a wonderful festival season! We will reopen on Monday, August 24th.

Over the last couple of days we've thanked just some of the amazing people who make Music in the Mountains possible each year. But most importantly, we are so thankful for each and every single one of YOU!

Bringing our Festival to life year after year is only possible through the support and power of the community around us. It is you, our sponsors, donors, musicians, venues, supporters, volunteers, staff, and, above all, our audiences, who come together to help us create an inspiring series of events every summer. Your enthusiasm and passion were contagious this year, and we were so thrilled to share this milestone 40th year with you all!

The magic of Music in the Mountains doesn’t just come from listening to our world-class musicians perform; it comes from the shared community connection we experience as we watch those performances together. Without your support, those connections, and those one-of-a-kind experiences, would not exist.

Thank you for being part of this phenomenal summer, and part of the Music in the Mountains family. We’re already looking forward to what next July will bring, and to experiencing it with you all together once again!

To our fabulous musicians: BRAVO! And thank you for sharing your incredible talent with Southwest Colorado this summer!

We truly can’t express how lucky and grateful we feel to have this level of talent join us here in Durango each summer. We consider it such an honor to have so many world-class musicians take part in our summer festival, and to have so many return year after year!

Both on and off the stage, one of our favorite parts of every Festival is getting to share time with our musicians in this beautiful place we call home.

Please join us in giving one more huge round of applause to our incredible Festival Orchestra musicians, as well as the incomparable Vadim Gluzman and Maestro Andrew Litton, for creating such a memorable 40th anniversary celebration this year! Consider this one final standing ovation! 👏👏

Call us biased, but we are fairly certain we have the best group of volunteers an organization could ask for!

Without our small army of volunteers and everything they do, our Festival simply would not exist. They're the smiling, helpful faces you encounter at each & every event, but their dedication and hard work extends far behind the scenes!

Please join us in thanking them for all of their amazing hard work this season! We are beyond grateful for all of the extraordinary time and work they've given over the last few weeks (and in some cases, year-round!) Thank you to all our amazing volunteers! 👏👏👏

What a spectacular way to close out our 2026 Festival and 40th anniversary season! 👏

🎶An intimate dinner and concert with Vadim Gluzman & Maestro Andrew Litton on Thursday
🎶A moving performance of Leigha Amick's commissioned work "O Beautiful Unity," followed by Bruch's violin concerto and Rachmaninoff's second symphony on Friday
🎶 A trip to Bourbon Street with Byron Stripling at Pops Night on Saturday
🎶 And an incredible, sold-out Grand Finale, all capped with our beloved Closing Night Reception donor event!

We will be reliving this weekend and each of these fabulous experiences for years to come!

We have so many to thank and acknowledge in the coming days, but for now we’ll share these wonderful moments from last weekend, as we continue to look back at all of the experiences we shared together over the last four weeks.

Wrapping up our summer festival is always bittersweet, but what we feel the most at this moment is gratitude. Thank you to everyone who made our 40th Anniversary season such a momentous success and amazing month-long celebration!

We're already looking forward to next July! 🎶🎻🏔️
