Fire restrictions are always enacted in the City of Durango. Here are some reminders:
With warm, dry conditions continuing across Southwest Colorado, now is a great time to brush up on what is and isn't allowed within Durango city limits.

1. Small, attended campfires and charcoal, gas, and pellet grills are allowed on private property when safety requirements are met.
2. Campfires and grills are not allowed in public parks, open space, trails, or other city-managed lands.
3. Fireworks, burn barrels, bonfires, and open burns remain prohibited within city limits.

The first PRCA rodeo of the season returns tomorrow night, June 10, at the La Plata County Fairgrounds. From the grand entry to the final ride, there’s nothing quite like a summer night under the arena lights.

Gates open at 5:00 PM. Rodeo starts at 6:30 PM.

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is currently doing maintenance on the tracks near Demon Bridge. The railroad is expected to have repairs completed tomorrow, Tuesday, June 9.
