Dupo American Legion Post #485 hosted State Representative Kevin Schmidt's free CPR Training and certification class today. These 25 folks recieved their CPR certification cards today free of charge!!! We will be working with Representative Schmidt to organize more of these events next year!!!

"ALWAYS READY" is a term our service members and veterans carry next to their hearts. Join us at the Post on August 8th if you are interested in getting CPR qualified! This class is open to the public. This course can be a lifesaver! If you are a parent, grandparent, babysitter, teacher, a person who works with the general public, or just someone who would like to be "Always Ready" use the link and sign up!

FREE CPR Certification Events coming to Dupo and O'Fallon! My office is setting up the perfect opportunity for constituents in the 114th District to learn the skills needed to respond assertively in an emergency and possibly save a life.

Attendees will receive hands-on training from Carissa Heise, a certified instructor, and earn CPR certification upon successful completion of the course. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, coach, healthcare worker, or simply want to be prepared, this training is an invaluable opportunity to obtain life-saving skills.

It's time for VA's Got Talent! Open to the PUBLIC! 2 day Art's festival at Jefferson Barracks Post! (dinner and light lunch served)

During this , we shine a spotlight on this week, when the stage at Jefferson Barracks will feature Veteran Creatives during the VA St. Louis Local Veterans Creative Arts Festival (CAF)!

Under the guidance of Creative Arts Therapist/CAF chair and US Army Veteran Bren Elfgen, along with dedicated VA staff and volunteers, enrolled Veterans will showcase their talents in performing arts, creative writing, and visual arts.

Please join us on the following dates and times to show support for our Veterans:

Wednesday, July 15, 4-6 p.m. — VA's Got Talent (music, dance, storytelling, comedy, singing, prose reading)
Friday, July 17, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Art (2D/3D), Creative Writing, and Awards Presentations. View artwork, meet artists and creative writers. Awards for both days will be presented.
