7th Inning Stretch: Sportscards Comics and Gaming

7th Inning Stretch: Sportscards Comics and Gaming I'm going to leave this page here for anyone that wants a bit of nostalgia as it's loaded with photos and stuff! :) Simply put, it's worth the trip.

When we opened in 1991, I don't think that I ever could've imagined the store growing to be something this epic in size. We started out in a store with barely 350 square feet and 3 stores later, we now occupy almost every square inch of 2000 square feet. If you had told me 19 years ago we'd have a store on the net, I would've laughed. Now, it's another part of our devoted customer service that we

take very seriously. When you come to shop our showroom, or simply shop us on the internet, you will find the highest quality merchandise and the best customer service that is possible. You'll notice that a photo is attached to virtually every item that we sell. We believe that the customer is not only more comfortable with their purchase, but also better informed. You can see exactly what item you are buying before you purchase it. I believe in treating this hobby and your cards with the utmost respect, so every item is carefully inspected before we ship to you. If you do happen to be down here in Florida on vacation, one of your destinations should be our jam-packed but organized store. We stock an incredible array of supplies, Sportscards, non-sportscards, Magic the Gathering, D & D, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Autographed memorabilia , Comic books, Action Figures, Star Wars, Japanese Anime, and soooo much more.

After 35 years doing this, 25 years on Beckett Marketplace, yesterday at some point I sold my 1 millionth card on there. It seems absolutely incredible that I finally past a number I honestly thought that I’d be very reach. Fortunately, it shows no signs of slowing down, it only seems to be picking up speed as time marches on. By the numbers that’s 40000 cards a year, 110 cards every single day, because the internet never sleeps. In just the last 3 years I’ve sorted, listed, pulled, sold, sleeved, and packed 250000 cards alone. It’s nuts. I’m fortunate enough to still be doing this every day for so long. Anyways, I hope you all are doing well and that life continues to smile on you all. I miss most of you very much! 😆😁

Hello everyone! For all of you that came in the store for years, you will remember my daughter Emily, she’s needing your vote for Miss Ho***rs Colorado, and you can vote by following the link below. You can vote once a day, so maybe do me a solid and give this incredible young lady you vote (every 24 hours!). Thank you so much! (Damn, time flies!!)

Your vote will determine if Emily is named Miss Ho***rs Colorado 2025. It’s a big responsibility, but we’re confident you’re up for the task. Get to know

With my daughter's help I found this on the internet, so I figured that I would leave this here. I hope that you all are doing well. Believe me, I miss you all. :)

I found this shirt in my mom’s closet the other day and was wondering if anyone still has any of the 1000’s of shirts that we handed out from back in the day. Just curious. I still had brown hair. Calling it even salt and pepper today would be generous. I hope you all are doing well!!

Good morning everyone! As a lot of you know, I’ve had an online store on the Beckett Marketplace for quite some time, just a little over 23 years to be exact. Last week sometime I passed 3 milestones on that site within days of each other. Firstly, I finally listed my 1 millionth unique item, secondly, I sold my 800000th card, and lastly, I listed my 5 millionth item overall. No bulk listing, no guessing, every single card sorted, counted and listed one by one to insure the counts are exactly correct. It’s been a wild ride and I’ve listed 2.6 million cards since I closed the store over 9 years ago. It seems endless, but it keeps me busy. So, in case you’ve ever wondered where I disappeared to, that’s where I’ve been hiding. And to think, I haven’t really even touched the Magic the Gathering yet……. Love and good thoughts to you all. ❤️

Sometime last night I sold my 750,000th card on my Beckett Marketplace storefront. What a wild ride. Next stop, closing in on 4.9 million listings and 1 million unique items listed. Okay, I’m back to work. :)

I feel like I’ve been hurtling at full speed for the more then 2 decades that I’ve been selling on my storefront on Beckett. During the years I had the store open I sold and listed on there at a pretty comfortable pace, but over the last 8 years the acceleration has been dramatic passing milestones in rapid succession. This morning I just eclipsed my 700000 card that I have sold on the internet. No bulk sales, these are all pulled for each order one by one. For some reason I suddenly feel older and slower this morning. 😂. Much love to you all

I wanted to take a moment and throw some support out there to several GREAT comic book and gaming stores that have come to be in the almost 8 (!!!) years since I have been closed. There’s Vibranium Comics in Ocala owned by the one of a kind Austin Berger, and Brownbeards Comics with 2 locations one in Ocala and another in Belleview owned and run by the incomparable Michael and Anthony Medieros. All 3 are incredible stores all accomplishing heights that I could’ve only dreamed of. But I do want to take a moment of time and give a shout out to Joshua Church at River Monster Comics in my old stomping grounds of Dunnellon. I’ve had the privilege of knowing Josh for a lot of years and his incredible character is carried over in his beautiful, well lit, well stocked, and clean store in the Aldi Plaza in Dunnellon. He’s a super guy and If you haven’t been by to visit, I highly recommend that you do. He has a great selection of stuff, gaming, Pokémon, Magic, and of course LOADS of comics both new and vintage. I’m proud to call all 3 of these shop owners friends. It’s nice that Marion County has so many terrific options to collect, game and play, so please stop by and check them out. It’s also nice to see that Dunnellon has a REAL comic book and gaming store that you can enjoy with the entire family. Stop by all 3 if you haven’t already, and tell them all that I said ‘hi!’ ❤️❤️❤️❤️. PLEASE feel free to share this post far and wide with friends, family, and other collectors.

4.8 million cards listed. I’ve been super busy with adding inventory to my online store listing new stuff every single day. This year with the savage amount of run off with sales being up about 80%, I’ve had a hard time reaching this number, but finally yesterday was the day. I’m so very close to that 5 million mark I can feel it, but I’m still a long way away. So, if you’ve been wondering what I’ve been up to and where I vanished to, I’m still here doing what I do. Have a great holiday season, I’m thinking of you all. ❤️❤️

30 years ago, it's been 30 years today. September 21, 1991 I opened the little store on Pennsylvania Ave right next to the sandwich shop. I was looking for something to do for a while, but little did I know that this thing was actually going to work and 30 years later I would still be doing this. It's quite a bit different today, but what a ride. Every single person that has liked my page on here I have had the pleasure of getting to know over these last 3 decades, and I have many terrific memories that y'all have given me over the years and I cherish each and every one. I decided to keep this post short this time as I wrote a really lengthy and sappy post last year on this day. Just know that I know that you are all still out there and from time to time I bump in to someone from back in the day when I am out and about, and it's always a treat. I really hope that each and every one of you are doing well and know that I miss you all, and I absolutely could not have gotten all the way here without you. You will always be in my heart. :)
