Just off from Route 5 on Van Buren Road in Dunkirk/Fredonia
Come back to a great American pastime and enjoy an evening of movies under the stars! On November 14, 2011, the screen was virtually destroyed be a tornado. However, the ticket booth and the snack shack were salvageable and are original to the Drive-In. In 2020 current owners Dan and Gina Beckley, along with their children and grandchildr
en, purchased the property and eagerly took on the project of restoring and reopening the Drive-In. Despite several setbacks delaying the development we have pushed forward to reach our goal. The Beckley family is beyond excited to open and welcome the community to join us in some family friendly fun at the Van Buren Drive-In Theater & Activities Center. We have worked hard at getting a new screen built, which was put up in July 2021 and also restoring and updating the ticket booth and snack shack including new restrooms. As you will see the project is still a work in progress. In the foreseeable future the grounds will be set with multiple screens and host different events and activities along with movies. The Beckley's have and continue to put countless hours into the restoration with the help of family and a few friends. We would like to thank the community for their support and patience. Your participation helps more than you realize and keeps us focused on the end goal! With that said, please bear with us as we continue to work hard at bringing the magic of the Drive-In experience back to our community and turning our visions for the Van Buren Drive-In Theater & Activites Center into reality.
