๐น๐ WHAT A DAY IN SHERWOOD FOREST! ๐๐น
I donโt even know where to begin except with a HUGE THANK YOU to every single cast member, volunteer, sponsor, family member, friend, and person who helped bring Robin Hood & Little John to life yesterday!
This show was especially special to me because it was the first full-length play I have ever written completely from top to bottom. It was never actually intended to be a one-act! With the chance of rain hanging over us, we made the decision to KEEP GOING and perform straight through without an intermission. ๐ง๏ธ๐
There is actually a perfect spot in the script for a transition between Act One and Act Two, and thatโs how I hope it will be performed in the future.
And that brings me to something Iโm really excited about. Once the script is completely finished and polished, my hope is that other theaters with a mentality like ours โ that theater is for ALL PEOPLE and everyone deserves the opportunity to be part of it โ will be able to use this script for FREE. โค๏ธ๐ญ Thatโs our plan! I would absolutely LOVE to see Robin Hood & Little John continue beyond our little corner of Sherwood Forest.
I truly love this show, and I cannot wait to watch all the videos because, as usual, I was running around so much that I didnโt actually get to SEE most of it!
A special thank you to my husband, Seth Walker, for guest starring as King Richard and delivering his very funny lines PERFECTLY. ๐๐In his own way! lol lol lol

That was DEFINITELY not in my original script, and I am SO glad it made its way into the show! Thank you Jade, Seth, and Jason for finding that little piece of comedy and running with it. It was hilarious.
There are so many people I want to thank individually, and I promise I will share much more about this show because there is SO much to celebrate.
Thank you to my wonderful co-director, our board, our volunteers, our sponsors, our families, and EVERYONE who stepped in wherever they were needed. I could never do any of this alone.
And because theater never stopsโฆ rehearsals start right back up TOMORROW for our spooky season community shows! ๐๐ป๐ญ
One show ends and the next adventure begins. โค๏ธ
