A few months back, Kevin tasked me with the responsibility to capture this special moment. I, of course, said that I would. This whole vacation was a front we put up for this very important day, although we really needed this vacation. Kevin and Brett have been talking about marriage for a while now. It seems that the perfect moment was on Tuesday as Brett mentioned that she didn't want to get married until she graduated from college. She just graduated a week ago or so before and Kevin's wait was over; he did not take too long to pop the question. Getting this organized was a struggle as Kevin had different ideas of how he wanted to propose. First, he wanted to do it at the sand dunes after dancing with her during sunset. He also was planning on asking during the stop on Lake Michigan during the dune ride. As far as I knew, we were waiting on him to propose on Wednesday, but he couldn't wait. We were doing a family shoot anyways so Kevin decided that he was going to propose on Tuesday during sunset. I didn't know this until a few hours before and ran with the idea of the family shoot to keep away suspicion. So not only did I ended doing a family shoot but also captured their exciting engagement. Congrats Kevin and Brett! I wish you a lifetime of happiness! Love you both

I had the wonderful opportunity to take pictures of the party that Calvary Baptist Church planned for our queen mother, Mrs. J. Of course, I was honored to do something little for someone who taught me so much. What a wonderful woman she is! Happy Birthday Mrs. J! I love you!
