Yesterday was one of those days I’ll never forget.
At 9:30 yesterday morning, an incredible group of parents and volunteers walked into our Watermelon room ready to work. We didn’t stop until 3:00 this morning.
We hauled materials, measured, cut, screwed, lifted, and laid what felt like endless pieces of flooring. We laughed, got dirty, got sore, and pushed through pure exhaustion together.
We didn’t quite finish, but we accomplished more than I ever imagined possible in one day.
As I stood there looking at that new floor, I realized something…
Buildings don’t build communities. People do.
The Marley, the mirrors we’ll install, the ceilings we still have to build, and every dollar we still need to raise are all important. But they’re just materials.
What makes Epic special has never been the building.
It’s the parents who give up their weekends.
It’s the friends who show up with tools in hand.
It’s the volunteers who work until 3:00 in the morning because they believe our dancers deserve the very best.
You weren’t just building a dance floor yesterday.
You were building a place where children will dream bigger, grow stronger, make lifelong friendships, and create memories they’ll carry with them forever.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single person who gave your time, your strength, your patience, and your love to this project. I wish I had words big enough to express how grateful I am.
We still have work ahead of us. We still have mirrors to hang, ceilings to build, and funds to raise. But yesterday reminded me that we are not doing this alone.
We are building something far greater than a dance studio.
We are building a community.
And for that, I will be forever grateful. ❤️
