We're all daydreaming of the warmer days in the sun, and nicer weather to tour around the Village and appreciate all the public art! Enjoy this flashback to the very first sculpture installed, back in 2018! It was a pleasure to work with Mr. Barry Parker, pictured here with his piece "Down on the Farm".

Congrats to Artist Justin La Doux on his sale to The Public Library in Dundee, MI. Huge thanks to the Friends of the Dundee Branch Library for their efforts in raising the money for this purchase!

Now "If We Die We Take You With Us" can stay in it's garden-bed home forever, alongside "Monarch Life Cycle", of which... happens to be by the same Michigan Artist!

Great news Dundee!! As we sadly watch a few of our favorites leave us this month.... we get to happily see the 'Bee' stay put! :D Artist Justin La Doux is kind enough to let this piece rest a little longer, as friends of the Dundee Library work hard to raise money in pursuit of purchasing it!

As we prepare to say goodbye to the 2020 - 2021 Village Sculpture exhibition, let's take a moment to thank the Village of Dundee Michigan for its purchase of a few pieces, in pursuit of building a permanent collection of public artwork. Thanks for making it a beautiful place to call home! Latest addition to the collection: "Fish in Cattails" by Ohio artist R Mike Sohikian. Its absolutely perfect next to our River Raisin! 🐟🌾🐟🌾🐟

Who SAYS that artists don't have great sense of humor? 😉 Has anyone noticed the sweet albeit horrified little worm on "Snack Time" by Blacksmith Andthe Painter?! What a fun little detail....
Artists come in all shapes and sizes folks! From humble to showboat, from serious to goofballs, from multi-degree to blue collar..... stereotypes don't really apply! Spread the word! 🙌
