🌟 Summer Camps at Northfield Just For Kix are almost here! 🌟

Our first two camps will be held next Friday, June 26th at Canvas Church:

💜 K-Pop Demon Hunters Camp 💜
4:30-6:00pm
K – 5th Grade
Campers will learn a fun dance routine, make a craft, have a snack and play fun games! Campers are encouraged to dress in their favorite K-Pop Demon Hunters gear!

💙 Tie-Dye Camp 💙
6:30-8:00pm
2nd – 5th Grade
Campers will learn a fun dance routine, make tie dye shirts, have a snack and play fun games! Campers should bring a plain white t-shirt to tie dye!

🌟 Day 3 Recap 🌟

2026 Director’s Convention - complete ✅

We started day 3 with classes on kick technique for younger dancers, ways to maximize each minute of our classes, the importance of utilizing strengthening exercises in dance, new strength drills and more!

At our closing, Coach Kaycee received the “Raising The Barre” award! What an honor to have our program recognized!

These last three days have been incredibly rewarding! Coach Kaycee, Coach Dasha & Coach Cherish are feeling motivated, and can’t wait to utilize all of our training this upcoming season!

🌟 Day 2 Recap 🌟

What a day! We learned so many things yesterday, and we cannot wait to bring it all back to our program!

We started the day talking about next season’s themes, including the new song series & decor ideas. Our Spring Show theme is Dancing With The Stars!!!!! I am SO excited for all of the things we have planned!!

We had the opportunity to take several classes from incredibly talented instructors, where they discussed everything from improv to leaps, from team culture to turn technique AND MORE!! We learned so many new drills and ways of teaching different skills. We can’t wait to “raise the barre” this next dance season!

We ended the evening with the annual Director’s Banquet, which was amazing as always! We have a few more classes today, and then it’s time to head home. We are so thankful to Cindy & Steve Clough, and the entire home office staff for putting on yet another incredible convention!

Ps - our dancers are HUGE fans of Kendal, Eva & Louie, so we had to make sure we got a picture with them 🤩

🌟 Day 1 Recap 🌟

We started off convention with some great guest speakers - DJ Hillier and Lindsay Jutting. Both speakers talked about the importance of the mindset and mental health of our athletes and how we as coaches can help show up and support them. 🫶🫶🫶

We also had the opportunity to take breakout classes, where we learned hip hop progressions, kick technique, pom technique, helpful parade information, AND a new way to sign up for private lessons - stay tuned!!!

We ended the night with our Snowed In PJ Party where we played Kahoots, a fun lyrics game, and lip sync battles. Take a peek at our Winter Show theme - It’s Freezin’ Season! We also had to take a picture with Fridley Director, William, as we were matching!!

Such a fun day! Can’t wait for today!

We have officially arrived at the 2026 Director’s Convention! For the next three days, Coach Kaycee, Coach Dasha & Coach Cherish will be in Brainerd, where we will be learning from the best. We can’t wait to bring back what we gain from this experience to make this upcoming season our best one yet!
