Good morning and welcome to “Getting To Know You with Host Paul Pitts”. A couple of weeks ago on May 30th we would have been celebrating the birthday of our friend Jeff Stice. Jeff was a great musician and Gospel Music artist that left us back during the Pandemic and we miss his funny character and his music. I went back and pulled up the last interview I did with him at the Roopville Baptist Church in Roopville, Georgia. I hope you enjoy listening to Jeff and his thoughts on his career in Gospel Music.

Welcome to “Getting To Know You with Host Paul Pitts” and his special guests - The Mylon Hayes Family. Based out of Hudson, North Carolina, the family’s roots are all about the Lord, Gospel Music and edifying the church. Myron and Wendy got married in 1995 and we have been able to not only watch them but also watch their children Conner, Bailey, and Kennedy grow up on stage. They are a wonderful and dedicated Gospel Music Family and we talk about their history, the family, and their music today. Come be with us in Memphis Tennessee at the Memphis Quartet Show from June 17th - 20th and then be a part of our Saturday, June 20th showcase. It begins at 8:30 am as Josh Franks leads us in a Hymn Sing Along, Clarke Beasley discusses our Southern Gospel Music History and then a great showcase of artists - Scheduled to perform are the Music City Quartet, the Mid South Boys, the Regals, Driven Quartet, and Sounds of Jericho. A tremendous showcase beginning at 8:30am in the Canon Center and it comes with free admission!!! Come be with us!!!

Welcome to “Getting to Know You with Host Paul Pitts” as we pay tribute to Sandy Knight. Sandy is a renowned Southern Gospel singer and songwriter whose music has been performed and popularized by various artists, including the Gold City Quartet. She also was part of her family group the Roy Knight Singers for over 50 years as they traveled the Southeast with their great music. On Saturday, May 30th the Gold City Quartet presented a special day recognizing Sandy and her songs in Taylors, South Carolina. We were there to pay homage and to congratulate her also.
