A refresher on the Creepmas Code! This is to ensure all are able to enjoy the event and to keep everyone safe. We do this to have fun and express ourselves, not to make anyone uncomfortable or frightened.

Parade in character: Embody your character through gait, sounds, and costumes. Monster noises are great, but no screaming.
Creepy fun, no scares: No intentional scaring of others. No jumping, yelling, or startling participants or spectators. It is not permissible to touch others (with hands or props) without consent.
Costumes: No whips, knives, or anything that could be utilized as a weapon will be allowed. Costumes must be all-ages appropriate.
Enjoy responsibly: Enjoy festive beverages responsibly. Absolutely no pressuring others to drink. No drinking and driving.
Dress appropriately: December in Minnesota can be extremely cold, please dress appropriately. Layers are encouraged and often a necessity!

A refresher on what the Creepmas Parade is all about!

The Creepmas Parade is an outdoor costume parade that takes place in early December in Duluth, MN.

The Creepmas Parade's mission is to provide the community with an annual event where participants can learn about folklore and craft as a community.

It is inspired by Krampus Night, a traditional European celebration that involves people dressing up as Krampus, a half-goat, half-demon figure. It also takes inspiration from the Creepmas aesthetic, a macabre, gothic, and spooky way to celebrate the winter holiday season.

The Creepmas Parade is a blend of these traditions and aesthetics.

The community gathers in costume and parades through the Lincoln Park Craft District. Bells are the unifying piece of the event.

Happy Imbolc ~ the halfway point between winter solstice and spring equinox.
Here in northern Minnesota, it's still bitter cold and the snow is still on the ground, but the days are growing longer. ICE will melt and the harvest will come. Stay strong, ghouls and goblins. We're stronger and creepier together.

Creepmas believes it is a beautiful thing to share stories and myths from all cultures. It is the heartbeat that keeps Creepmas jingling its bells all year. That is why we stand in solidarity with immigrants, our communities, and neighbors.

Today is a day of truth and freedom! Be gentle with one another, and trust we are all engaging in ways that keep us safe. For our fellow Duluthians, if you are able, there is a sit-in happening at Duluth City Hall 8:30-4:00.

As this year comes to an end, we are reflecting upon the joy, creative expression, and community we've experienced through Creepmas. Thank you all for being a part of it!

A few 2025 highlights:

🔸Creepmas in July at the Folk School kicked off the creepy season. This event will be back in 2026!

🔸Seeing our logo design by ! They made a gremlin buddy that perfectly embodies the Creepmas spirit.

🔸The parade itself! We were (and still are) so inspired by your costumes and creatures you brought out on Dec 6!!

🔸Laughing together while puppets entertained us, specifically the Yeti giving us humans the cold shoulder!

🔸Selling out of the first run of Creepmas shirts and donating $330 to CHUM

We will be taking the rest of the winter off to rest and dream about the 2026 Creepmas season. Socials will be quieter, but please feel free reach out if you have collaboration ideas here or at [email protected]

With creepiness and cheer,

Emily + Haley
