FINNFEST Tori Nordic Marketplace opens at NOON on Thursday, July 25th.

Th 7/25: 12-5pm
Fr 7/26: 9am-5pm
Sa 7/27: 9am-5pm
Su 7/28: 9am-12pm

This tells you how much I love Duluth, FinnFest, and my grown child who will be helping me work the booth! We're in for a long weekend, and if you are in Duluth, I hope you will come down to the DECC to say hi and to have some fun in the Tori!!

Silvercocoon + FinnFest : Duluth July 25-28, 2024

Silvercocoon will be in the Tori Nordic Fair during FinnFest in Duluth. This year, there is a Tori-only ticket that makes it easy for local Duluthians to shop, taste foods, and experience Tori-specific programming for only $10/one-day or a $20/ four-day Tori-pass. (Attendees of the larger festival have access to the Tori included in their festival pass.)

It's been years since my last 2019 Holiday sale in Duluth. The pandemic changed a lot for me - in challenging and wonderful ways. I am so happy working as a visual artist these days. But, thanks to the help of my kids (who will be running the booth when I'm busy with festival activities), we will have lots of earrings for you to shop during Tori hours the entire weekend of

This week, I had planned to promote my participation in Julmarknad (3-day market from Dec 1-3rd) and maybe those of you in the ASI loop already have your tickets and know all the vendors ... but, instead, I began isolation with Covid. So, I WILL NOT BE AT JULMARKNAD THIS WEEKEND.

A few things:
1) I opted for Paxlovid this time (wasn't an option my first time) and it is helping with symptoms. I've been pushing hard for the past 15+ months, so I'm resting hard, now.
2) I will have a table with other vendors at ASI's SOLSTICE Celebration on 12/20 as 'make-up' for missing this weekend. I'll have jewelry and ornaments, for certain, and hopefully himmeli as well.
3) If you were hoping to buy a Himmeli from me, please reach out with a private message or email to discuss details ASAP (local pickup only).
4) Lasercut ornaments are now available in the online shop. I'm old school: follow the l¡nk in profile.

SIX new styles have been added to the website (only 4 shown here) ... use the link in profile to view them all. You get to pick your top/bottom colors when ordering. .... And, if you are really feeling creative, order two different singles for a 4-color combo! 💥

I have been quiet in this space for a while now. The pandemic changed the way I work. Those changes will persist going forward. I have continued to make jewelry and have been quietly filling orders for individuals and for retail shops, but my scope as an artist continues to expand. Working differently (when it comes to jewelry) allows me to engage a more diverse mix of creative work across disciplines.

I will continue with my new made-to-order process of making & selling my jewelry collection through the online shop and for select retail shops, but I will not be taking part in any jewelry-markets this holiday season. Silvercocoon.com is the place to go. If you order it, I will make it. Dec 9th: last day for metal jewelry. Dec 16th: last day for lasercut jewelry. Shop will be closed Dec 17 - Jan2nd. Stay tuned for a list of regional shops with fresh Silvercocoon inventory.
