Today we are featuring Rita Morris and Barry Sands of . They will be guests at Eric Klepinger's studio.

Rita Morris and Barry Sands collaborate to make functional pottery and ceramics wall hangings that are hand- painted with imagery from the natural world. They live and work in Duluth and many of their pieces showcase the native flora and fauna of this region. The subtle ceramic forms and simple designs that they create together attempt to continue the tradition of handmade functional pottery while bringing into focus the stillness, wonder and beauty of this northern landscape.

Bud vases to hold all the blooms in our short and glorious growing season in Northern Minnesota. We have to soak up all the beauty before it snows again! Although, snow is pretty, too. I’m enjoying peony season and packing up pots for the Grand Marais Arts Festival THIS WEEKEND! July 11 & 12th, Saturday 9-5 Sunday 10-4☀️Hope to see you there! The Grand Marais Art Colony

One of the best things about living in Duluth is getting to be a part of the amazing pottery community here. We’re overjoyed to be joining this coming Saturday, May 30th, for their Spring Pottery Sale at from 12-4pm. We’ll be set up alongside some of the best humans, who happen to be fantastic potters, too! We’ll have a wide selection of our pottery there…this is our first show of the season, come see what we’ve been working on! In addition to the joy that comes with buying a locally handmade piece of ceramic art, I’m happy to announce that a portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the to help them keep doing the amazing job of restoring the St. Louis River Estuary💙🐟🌊They will be set up during the event, as well, to share information about their upcoming projects!
