There’s still time to visit our current exhibition.

The 11th Annual “Stand in Ansel Adams’ Footsteps” Juried Competition & Exhibition closes October 24.

Take a closer look at a piece that catches your attention, notice a detail you may have missed the first time, or simply spend some time wandering through the gallery before the exhibition comes to a close.

Plan your visit and see it while it’s still on view at thehudgens.org.

Thinking about art school, a BFA or MFA program, or your first gallery submission? It starts with a portfolio that tells your story. 🎨

Join instructor Mike Brown for Portfolio Development, a two-hour workshop for high school students, college students, and emerging artists ready to take their work to the next level.

You'll learn:
• What to include (and what to leave out)
• How academic and gallery portfolios differ
• Best practices for presentation and organization
• How to build a cohesive body of work that shows both skill and vision

Want feedback on your finished portfolio? Pair this with our Portfolio Review Workshop as a follow-up.

Community is at the heart of everything we do at The Hudgens Center.

It’s in the families who spend an afternoon exploring the galleries, the students who discover something new in a class, the artists who share their work, and the neighbors who continue to support creativity right here in Gwinnett County.

Every visit, conversation, class, and shared experience adds something to this community, and we’re grateful for all the people who make The Hudgens feel like more than a place to see art.

It’s a place to learn, connect, create, and belong.

Thank you for being part of The Hudgens community.

There is something about being around art that just makes you feel good. 🎨

It slows you down. It sparks curiosity. It makes you see something familiar in a completely new way. Whether you're standing in front of a painting that stops you in your tracks, getting your hands dirty in a studio class, or simply wandering through the sculpture garden on a quiet afternoon, art has a way of lifting the mood that is hard to explain and impossible to ignore.

That is what The Hudgens Center is here for. Come find your joy at thehudgens.org.

Your dream home might be closer than you think.

This weekend, we’re kicking off "Building Ceramic Houses," a two-part workshop with artist Andrew Hebert!

On October 3, you’ll learn preparation, assembly, and slab-building techniques to create your own ceramic home. Then, you’ll return on October 17 to glaze, decorate, and add the finishing touches before your piece heads to its final firing.

Dream house, cozy cabin, birdhouse, dog house... the design is entirely up to you.
