Today Saint Sound had the opportunity to perform for and visit with the residents and staff of Renu Life. The staff was very welcoming and the residents were so sweet. We had a wonderful time sharing our love of music and singing with these beautiful people. Music truly is the universal language.

Thank you to Pier Protz, Director of Activities/Clinical & Public Relations at ReNu Life, whshared with the students the history Renu Life and the importance of taking care of our brain, our bodies computer. She encouraged them to always make wise decisions and to never knowingly put yourself into a situation that could jeopardize your health and physical well being.

This was such a great opportunity for these students and they enjoyed every moment we shared together.

The Southern Wayne HS Concert Choir and Saint Sound traveled to Gray’s Creek High School today for the North Carolina Music Educator’s Association, Music Performance Adjudication. The students were so well prepared and performed beautifully. They received an EXCELLENT rating their in on stage performance and a near perfect SUPERIOR 99/100 in their sight reading. These students not only performed well but were exceptional members of the audience while they were able to observe several other choirs perform. Your Saint’s family is proud of you!

What a wonderful weekend of making some incredible music. We are so proud of our students who took part in the NCMEA All East Festival in beautiful New Bern, NC. These students had the opportunity sing with 2 first class conductors/composers and many talented students from 42 other high schools from across the state.

It has been a busy past couple of weeks for Saint Sound. We have been blessed to perform for the Wayne County Retired School Personnel, 3HC Luminary Ceremony, and Light Up Downtown Goldsboro. So much fun with a great group of young people!

What a fantastic day to attend the ECU High School Choral Invitational! These kids performed beautifully and enjoyed performances from other high school groups as well as the incredible ECU Chamber Singers.

These students were selected to represent Southern Wayne this weekend at the North Carolina Music Educators Association All Eastern Regional Chorus held at ECU. It was a glorious 2 days of of making music with other choral students from across our state. We are so proud of these young people and the way they represent our school and community.

Today, our Southern Wayne Concert Choir and Saint Sound traveled to Grays Creek HS, located in Hope Mills for the North Carolina Music Educators Association’s Music Performance Adjudication. The students performed 2 selections for a panel of 3 judges and received superior ratings from all 3, as well as an overall superior rating in performance! I could not be any more proud of these students. Saint Pride!!!

We have had so much fun the past couple of days as we welcomed 8th grade students from Brogden, Grantham, and Mount Olive Middle Schools. These students sat in on a rehearsal with us and got a glimpse of what is like to be part of the choir family at SW! Great things are happening and we look forward to seeing them as freshman next year. Southern Wayne Saints
