We've been fairly busy in our off months, but now would like to resume introductions! There's a few more than two weeks left until we're at the Torrington Renaissance Faire 2026 - so don't forget to stop by and say hello to all of our great people.
There's one of the knights that we've failed to include up until now - and we'd like to remedy that:
Syr Joia
Syr Joia is the second daughter of the Comte Des Rennes and as such began her career as a Lady in Waiting to the Queen of France. After a while she became bored and disillusioned with being stuck in a castle tending to a single lady, although enjoyed her duties as a secretary. With the blessing of her family, Lady Joia departed to travel far and wide. She visited foreign lands and learned all she could. On her way through France, heading home to visit her family, she came across the lands of Gore, where Lord Jeffery was working to regain control. Lady Joia observed the ragged clothing of his troop and set to using her skills, honed during her travels, to repair and make new garments. She did this one night, while they slept and mended the tabards and clothing which were hanging on the tents and poles, much like the old story of the cobbler and elves; by morning everything was pristine and amazing. When they rose they were excited and went to the tavern to celebrate their good fortune where they found Joia asleep by the fire, covered in scraps from the repairs, they quickly realized who made their “miracle” possible. They collectively dropped to their knees and begged her to journey with them. She agreed to join them and rapidly she became known for her leadership, organizational skills, and has assisted Lord Jeffery with the administrative tasks for his troop.
