The Town of Duck presents the annual Duck Jazz Festival on Columbus day Weekend each October. The free non-ticketed festival takes place in the Duck Town Park in Duck, North Carolina, located on the popular barrier islands known as the Outer Banks. The Town of Duck uses social media to interact with residents, businesses, and visitors about public issues related to our jurisdiction. Town social me

Back by popular demand, this dynamic female-led brass band first joined us in 2023 and absolutely lit up the amphitheater with their high-energy, interactive performance. Since then, we’ve received countless requests to bring them back, and this year, they’re returning bigger than ever for a Main Stage performance on Sunday, October 11! 🔥

Based in New York City, Brass Queens is redefining the brass band scene with a bold and electrifying sound that blends the rich traditions of New Orleans brass bands with the vibrant energy of NYC. In a genre traditionally dominated by men, these talented musicians continue to carve out space for women in brass while delivering unforgettable performances packed with joy, soul, and nonstop energy. 🎺💃

Please welcome the David Esleck Trio featuring Jordan Garrett to the 2026 Duck Jazz Festival presented by PNC lineup! 🎹🎵

Led by internationally acclaimed pianist, composer, and educator David L. Esleck, this dynamic trio brings a fresh and masterful approach to jazz performance. From performances for world leaders to GRAMMY recognition for his album Little Ears, Dr. Esleck has built an extraordinary career rooted in both artistry and education.

In addition to his work on stage, Dr. Esleck mentors the next generation of musicians at the University of Richmond, where he teaches jazz performance, piano, and music history. Joining him are award-winning bassist Jason Jenkins and multi-instrumentalist Keith Willingham, whose musicianship adds even more depth and energy to the trio’s sound. 🎶

This special performance will also feature vocalist and pianist Jordan Garrett, whose expressive voice and vibrant stage presence captivate audiences wherever she performs. A gifted educator and performer, Jordan’s passion for music shines through every note whether she’s leading a classroom, serving as a guest clinician, or performing on stages across the country.

It is always such an honor to showcase these talented student musicians as they bring their passion, dedication, and hard work to the stage. Their performances are a powerful reminder of the importance of music education and the bright future of jazz in our community. 🎷✨

We’re thrilled to welcome Bobby Jasinski and The Hot Lanes back to the 2026 Duck Jazz Festival presented by PNC!

This dynamic 16-piece ensemble lit up the Main Stage in 2023, and they’re returning this fall with even more energy, passion, and unforgettable big band brilliance. Led by composer, arranger, and pianist Bobby Jasinski, The Hot Lanes deliver a bold and exciting sound that blends Latin rhythms, classical influences, folk melodies, and modern jazz into one electrifying performance. 🎶

Inspired by jazz legends like Count Basie and contemporary greats such as the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Bobby’s vision for The Hot Lanes shines through in every rich arrangement and standout solo.

Alright bass fans… this one’s for you 😎🎸

We are beyond excited to welcome Gerald Veasley BACK to the Duck Jazz Festival stage for the first time since 2008, when he performed during just the second year of the festival!

A master of the six-string bass, Gerald Veasley has built a genre-defying career as a bassist, composer, producer, educator, and bandleader. Blending jazz, soul, funk, and gospel influences, his music is equal parts groove, sophistication, and heart. 🎶

Throughout his incredible career, Veasley has performed and recorded with renowned artists including Kirk Whalum, Maysa, Chuck Loeb, McCoy Tyner, Philip Bailey, and The Jaco Pastorius Big Band, just to name a few.

His latest release, Live at SOUTH, captures the magic and spontaneity of a live performance at Philadelphia’s legendary SOUTH Jazz Parlor, showcasing the dynamic artistry and passion that have made him one of contemporary jazz’s most respected musicians.

Beyond the stage, Gerald is also the visionary behind the acclaimed Unscripted Jazz Series, Artistic Director of Jazz Philadelphia, and founder of Bass BootCamp, inspiring musicians from around the world through performance and education alike.

We’re excited to welcome acclaimed guitarist, producer, and composer Adam Hawley to this year’s lineup! With 17 Billboard #1 hits and honors including Mediabase Artist of the Year (2024) and Billboard Song of the Year (2022 & 2020), Adam has become one of the most celebrated names in contemporary jazz. 🎸
