Custom guitar strap out the door for a great young singer/guitarist. Hopefully it fits her well for future shows and campfires.

These are super adjustable (and easy to adjust), and offer quite a bit of space for tooling designs. All kinds of color and lacing/stitching options as well.

Open for orders! I’ve got a few slots open for custom orders. Please keep in mind fire season is setting in and meeting a timeframe in the near future could be difficult but I’ll do my best. I have materials to get going on the following:

Just wrapped up this piece that I made for my daughter. She got her buckle for her birthday and just needed her dad to get back from fire season and hunts to get the belt done for it.

I guess you can tell that my girl loves hunting and Labrador dogs 😂. They truly are 2 of her favorite things.

Firefighter billfold. I was a bit nervous to tool out the logo mainly due to having to then paint it in detail. It took a little more time but turned out pretty good.

Another women’s corset belt (also called a cinch belt or wide belt) out the door, Alaska bound. These are becoming a pretty popular item off of my bench.

There are endless possibilities when it comes to patterns and customization, including lots of hardware and buckle set choices. Stitching and lace colors can be customized as well.

Designed this fixed blade, cross-draw style sheath and knocked it all out today. I did this one for a knife maker that builds some beautiful blades! Hopefully the first of many.

This one was a fun little challenge. With leather as in most any art you might make a few mistakes until you get it just right. Last week I made another design for this knife from start to finish and I just wasn’t happy with it. It might work for a smaller knife down the road but for now it’s in my discard pile. Leather ain’t cheap and I hate to make mistakes and waste material but that’s a part of the game every maker deals with at some point.

I’ve been pretty fortunate. I’ve scrapped a couple of belts I wasn’t happy with or messed up on and a few sheaths, but it hasn’t been too bad. All you can do is learn from the mistakes and be a little better next time.

We’ve changed our name! This change is to put the business in alignment with another little side project we have going on, which will go by the same name.

With roots in southern Utah including a kinship to famous outlaw Butch Cassidy, to now living in northeastern Utah near some of the most famous locations on the “outlaw trail”, we feel this name really fits our background and businesses. The outlaw trail spans some of the most beautiful country in the west, which inspires our art and work greatly.

We also are offering a few limited spots for custom work open right now. I try to fit in as much as I can during the winter and spring months before my busy season at my primary job. I’ll only be taking about a half dozen orders for now.

For the time being, I’m only setup for smaller items. Belts, wallets, spur straps, halters, dog collars, luggage tags, just to name a few. I can’t quite build larger items like bags, bigger pieces of tack, chaps, etc..

As far as patterns and designs, you’ll see that there are many I’ve used several times. I’m not limited to those patterns! These have all been specific requests. If there’s something unique or different you want to see let’s talk.

A new belt for to pair with his custom buckle that he got for his birthday a few weeks ago. He’s needed a new belt for a while, I’m terrible at getting projects done for my family. Sorry for the wait son! Hope you like it.
