MEET THE CAST...Dakota Vaassen (Legionnaire/Danny)

"This will mark Dakota’s sixth show with Fly-By-Night Productions. The most recent was as Mr. Kraler in The Diary of Anne Frank in March. No stranger to the stage, Dakota has been involved in over sixty productions since he first trod the boards in 2007. Dakota’s past FBNP credits include Chrysalde in The School for Wives, Amundsen in Terra Nova, Tom Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie and Orson Welles in the most recent Famous Dead Artist Series. After graduating from UW-Platteville in 2016 with a BA in theater, Dakota moved to Chicago where he directed three of his own one-act plays and won several playwriting contests. In 2019, Dakota moved back to Platteville where he still continues to act, write and direct regionally. For his next project, Dakota is planning on directing a stage reading of one of his one-acts with performances set for September. Thank you so much for supporting local theater during a time when it’s more important than ever to do so. Enjoy the show!"

FBNP is so excited to welcome Dakota back to our stage! Come take in his is brilliant performance in our final production of the season when "What the Constitution Means to Me" opens this weekend!

MEET THE CAST ... Liberty Livermore (Thursday Williams)

"My name is Liberty Livermore but most people who know me well call me Gibby. I’m currently a freshman at Loras College, and my major is Spanish education with a minor in theater. I’ve been in many shows throughout the years. Some of my most recent shows I’ve been in was an actor in the 60-minute show 'Too Much Light makes the Baby Go Blind'. I also played Linda in the show 'Evil Dead the Musical'. Both of these I did with the Loras Players here in Dubuque. Before that, I played Karen the computer in 'SpongeBob the Musical', Merlin, in the show 'Chaos in Camelot', and I played as the understudy for Matilda in 'Roald Dahl's Matilda'. Each of these I did with my Highschool in Maquoketa. Beyond that, I mostly did mini shows or had supporting roles. This is my first show with Fly-By-Night Productions, and it is definitely a different role than what I am used to playing… which for me, is what makes it even more exciting! I’ve enjoyed the process of bringing Thursday’s character to life and learning about important issues that still take place today."

FBNP is thrilled to welcome Liberty to our stage for the first time! Come help us welcome her and support the cast of "What the Constitution Means to Me" when it opens THIS Friday!
