Jeffrey’s World is excited to announce a collaboration with Menlo Aquatics Center to bring our community a safe autism-friendly Sensory Swim!

During this special event, all music throughout the facility will be turned off to create a calmer, more sensory-friendly environment. The Waterworks splash area and Swirly Slide (Leisure Pool) will be open for participants to enjoy. The Rock Wall, Diving Boards, and Drop Slide (Competition Pool diving well) will remain closed.

Children 48 inches and taller will may ride the Swirly Slide thanks to accommodations made by the lifeguard staff and Menlo Management. Child height will be measured at the entrance of the slide.

Admission rate:
$10 per child
$5 per adult

Our children deserve the opportunity to experience all the fun Menlo Aquatics Center has to offer, just like any other child. We are incredibly excited to assist in the creation of this event and hope it is the first of many sensory swim opportunities.

Jeffery recently reached a milestone that means so much to our family… he has learned how to dress himself independently!

For many families this may seem like a small, everyday task, but for us it represents patience, persistence, learning, and so much hard work along the way. Milestones look different for every child, and each one deserves to be celebrated.

We are so proud of Jeffery and the progress he continues to make. Moments like this remind us why we keep advocating, learning, and pushing forward.
