Reminder that Dress Rehearsal Week for Main Show Dancers begins this SATURDAY, May 30th!

Dancers should arrive to their normal class time at CDA in full costume, hair and makeup, tights, and shoes. Dancers will rehearse their recital dances in the studio and practice for the Main Show on Saturday, June 6th at the Davidson Theatre.

CDA has been invited by the National Kidney Foundation to perform at The Gift Of Life event in Columbus tomorrow! It is such an honor and privilege to be a part of such a special event, and we are so grateful for this opportunity. CDA instructor and Alumni, Clare Nicklas, has been working with CDA Company AH dancers Ella Chow, Sophia Ferro, and Audrey Kronenberger to create an uplifting and meaningful piece for the event. We can’t wait to see them perform it!

Reminder that Dress Rehearsal Week for Main Show Dancers begins this SATURDAY, May 30th!

2026 CDA Senior Spotlight:
🌟Caroline Simpson🌟

Caroline is graduating from Dublin Jerome High School and plans to major in Communications at Oberlin College of Arts and Sciences! She plans to continue dancing in college by joining a club and taking some dance history and choreography classes.

Caroline has been dancing for the last 16 years at CDA! She is graduating this year as a Company D Dance Member in Pointe, Ballet, Jazz and Modern. Caroline has participated in all of CDA’s year end productions and DanceScope performances she has been eligible for. Caroline chose to participate in 6 CDA Holiday Productions. This year Caroline performed with CDA’s Company Competitive Jazz Dance Team and became a CDA Student Intern.

“My favorite memories at CDA are the performances. As much as I love dancing under the spotlights and spending time with friends, I enjoy watching the other dancers in the show more. It’s such a wonderful thing to watch individuals come together and create art from their movements. The emotions and stories that dance can carry are so powerful, and I am forever grateful that I can be apart of that art.“

We wish nothing but luck and a positive journey as she leaps from one stage of life to the next! We will miss you next year Caroline but your passion and talents for the Dance Arts will forever be remembered at the Columbus DanceArts Academy. 💖

2026 CDA Senior Spotlight:
🌟Audrey Hagen🌟

Audrey is graduating from Dublin Coffman High School and plans to major in Interior Design at University of Kentucky! She plans to continue dancing in college by finding a dance club or ensemble to join.

Audrey has been dancing for the last 15 years at CDA! She is graduating this year as a second year Company A with Honors Dance Member in Pointe, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern and Hip Hop. Audrey has participated in all of CDA’s year end productions and DanceScope performances she has been eligible for. Audrey chose to participate in Haunted Hip Hop for 4 years, 2 CDA Holiday Productions, performed for 4 years with Variations class and competed for 1 year on CDA’s Company Competitive Dance Teams.

“My favorite memory from CDA is the one time I showed up to Erin’s ballet class in my nutcracker costume 3 weeks in a row before the performance“
