DSB members voted, and the 2026 Dublin Silver Band Bandsperson of the Year is Joshua Tyler Jameson! Back in April at the North American Brass Band Championships, the Dublin Silver Band premiered "Pharaoh of the Exodus," an original work composed by Josh. Preparing and performing that epic piece of music was a labor of love for the whole band, but none of it would have been possible without the countless hours of work that Josh poured into this composition.

As a thank you to Josh, the band gifted him a canvas print of the soundwave from our world premier performance. All the members signed their name, as well as the part they played, on the canvas.

Congratulations Josh! ☘️🪊

As one banding season ends and another begins, members of the Dublin Silver Band come together to vote to recognize some truly exceptional band members. We are very proud to announce that the 2026 Newcomer of the Year is Joel Kirk! From his outstanding cornet playing to his positive attitude, Joel has been a wonderful addition to the band in the last year.
