Such a marvelous day! I love being in an environment that is flowing with creativity and ambiance. Whenever I am working on a project, I try to be mindful of my setting, maybe light a little palo santo, have a crystal nearby, or put a favorite record on. September’s Hand Lettering Workshop was simply wonderful. Friends were made, letters were written, stories were told, all in a gorgeous setting at in their sunroom. Very grateful to all of the attendees and I look forward to seeing what they create in the future with their new learned skills!

Rita, you are a very loved and beloved wife, mother, gramma, human. Sending my sincere appreciation to your husband, John, for commissioning this lovely hand lettered, painted, stitched and bound handmade booklet for your 70th birthday. Each aspect of this project made me smile and lose all track of time from being in the flow of the creative making process.

I absolutely love creative projects like this. Making and creating brings me so much joy, but add hand lettering 10 years worth of poems into a made from scratch booklet? I’m in. Every-time, yea please!

Happy Summer Solstice to our hemisphere.

Recent conversations with friends and loved ones have been filling my soul with a greater sense of connection, stillness, ease, and flow. While life will forevermore bring unstable moments or times of doubt, worry, and despair, staying connected to those around me brings a great deal of wholeness to my life—and I hope the lives of those I surround myself with.

May this midsummer bring forth even more encouraging, connecting moments for us all to engage with and reflect upon what fills our souls. Here’s to a bright season of growth, more moments of levity, and utilizing time to focus on gratitude.

With Spring right around the corner, it has me so excited to be around blooming flowers, awakening gardens, and that glorious sunshine!

This project was such a wonderful ray of bright sunshine in my life last year. It came to a group of us for the Friends Garden on East Main Street her in Columbus.

Thank you to Monica for the creative opportunity and to collaborate with such lovely humans— . I am very grateful and excited to see what brightness comes this spring and summer!

Hand lettered signage for in the downtown. Mad skilled penwomanship by yours truely. Ya girl, Grace!

I love using my natural “font” whenever possible, but rarely do I write vertically—that becomes its own challenge with the sizing, kerning and legibility. But, I am very grateful for creative projects like this one to add to my growing collection of art expertise!
