What…a….weekend
What started as a dream a year ago became something so much bigger than we ever imagined. A show is never just a show, it’s months of hard work, laughter, growth, and moments that will stay with us long after the stage is cleared.
As we close this season, we are overwhelmed with gratitude. Du Quoin, thank you for showing up, for filling the seats, for applauding not just the performance, but the effort, the courage, and the passion behind it. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in us
The lights may dim, the set may come down, but the memories, the friendships, and the impact of this show will last.
Theater is one of the few places where everyone belongs and this rang true this year.
It’s where the football player learns lines with the mathlete, where the quiet artist and the loud comedian become part of the same story, it’s where the cheerleaders and dancers become best friends with the band members. It’s a space where labels fall away and people who might never cross paths find themselves creating something special together.
Every line memorized, every note sung, every set and scenic element painted, it all comes from different people bringing their unique strengths into one shared vision. And somehow, all those separate pieces turn into something amazing.
Thank you again for your continued support for theater at DHS. Your encouragement means more than you know, and we are truly excited for all the incredible moments still to come ❤️
