We found a HAPPY SURPRISE for once in this big ol’ haus! These doors are gorgeous!!! (googles how to strip paint) I can’t believe anyone would just nail an old board on top!!

Today I learned a lot about how the paint moves with long thin lines and I’m missing my enamel paints with my pin striping brushes! It was a lot of learning and not a lot of loving the result but it’s ok because that’s why I bought these boards. I can learn and mess up and I would rather make big cheap mistakes than small expensive ones. I’m gonna give her one more round then on to the next!

Today I laid down my big blocks of color and started some detail work still want to add my signature line-work over the top but for now, she’s in time out (drying). When I first did this design digitally I was in the middle of a cancer scare and I put text on it that said “smiling gives you wrinkles” because Elizabeth Taylor is ICONIC Elizabeth Taylor
