Come in and grab your supplies!

The shop will be closed Saturday, June 27th until Wednesday, July 8th. We are open again regular hours Wednesday, July 8th.

We have typically closed the week of July 4th for vacation and this year it lines up with our retreat and renovations in the shop.

We’re getting a storage closet! Which means the back room needs to be cleared out, cleaned, and restocked before we can have you back in our space. If our energy matches our ambitions then we will also be adding some pops of color to the windows. Stay tuned! 🎨

Happy pride month!

We are hosting a q***r craft night Wednesday June 10th 6:00-8:00pm. This event is for q***r folks to connect and craft together. Come whether you are an avid crafter, or curious about learning. Bring a project to work on (or purchase one here), there will be snacks provided and drink vouchers for our neighbors, Protagonist Books & Coffee. Come ready to enjoy some creative time together! 🌈

Book club announcement!

Join our summer book club, reading “With Her Own Hands: Women weaving their stories” by Nicole Nehrig. We will meet four times during July and August at local wineries (and a cidery) to talk about the book and craft together. This is an informal book club- there is no obligation to attend every meeting. Feel free to come to any you are able to, and stay as long as you’d like! The intention is to enjoy discussing the book together, while we enjoy each other’s company, and the beautiful weather. While we are enjoying local wineries, we encourage you to work on a project using local fiber- this is not a requirement, but a fun idea to get familiar with local farms. Meeting details below:

Sunday 7/12 @ Bet the Farm Winery 1:00-3:00 pm (discussing chapter 1 & 2)

Tuesday 7/28 @ Six Mile Creek Vineyard 4:00-6:00pm (discussing chapter 3 & 4)

Friday 8/7 @ South Hill Cider 5:30-7:30pm (discussing chapters 5-6)

Sunday 8/16 @ Bright Leaf Vineyard 1:00-3:00pm (discussing chapter 7)

Sadly our large Dairy Day cow died in a wind storm. Her flimsy body couldn’t take the pressure and snapped. So welcome her legacy, baby calf! (Is that a double negative of sorts?)

Dairy Day is a fun small town celebration of all things dairy right in Dryden. There’s a parade, small business celebrations, and vendors and food at the local park. Best of all is the $.25 icecream and milk cartons!
