Today the GCHS Concert Choir performed in the Trills and Thrills Music Festival. This event allows school music ensembles to perform for a panel of judges before heading to King’s Island for a fun day at the amusement park!
The choir performed Sam Smith’s “Writings On The Wall” and “And So It Goes” by Billy Joel, arranged by Audrey Snyder. They sang beautifully and received a Superior rating.
Unfortunately we didn’t get to spend a lot of time in the “thrills” part of the festival due to inclement weather. However, the students had fun nonetheless.
Special thanks to Ms. Sydney Long, Ms. Alana Gronefeld, and Mrs. Sarah Hamilton; they came along as chaperones for the trip. And a VERY special thank you to our accompanist (who graciously jumped in last minute) Jerry Johnson! Great work today, choir!
