Some orders touch my heart a little differently. ❤️

These memory bears were made for a sweet lady who lost her mama. Each one was created from her mama’s pajamas—clothes that once held her, hugged her, and were part of so many ordinary days that now mean everything.

After losing someone you love, you realize their clothes aren’t “just clothes.” They hold memories. They remind you of their hugs, their smell, their personality, and all those little moments you wish you could have back.

It is such an honor when someone trusts me with something this precious. I know how hard it can be to hand over the clothing of someone you love, and I never take that trust lightly.

My hope is that every time she holds one of these bears, it brings a little comfort and reminds her that a mama’s love never leaves us. ❤️

Since losing my husband, Tommy, I look at clothes completely differently. ❤️

I can look at one of his shirts and immediately picture him wearing it. I can remember where we were, something he said, or just an ordinary day together that I didn’t know at the time would become such a precious memory.

Now those shirts aren’t just shirts to me.

They’re pieces of a life we shared. Pieces of the man I loved and still love with all my heart. And some days, just holding one of them close can bring back a thousand memories.

That’s why making memory bears has taken on an entirely different meaning for me.

Before, I knew they were special. But now I truly understand.

I understand how hard it is to go through someone’s clothes after they’re gone. I understand why you might pick something up, hold it for a while, and put it right back because you’re just not ready. I understand how scary it can feel to hand those clothes to someone and trust them to cut into something that can never be replaced.

And I understand why having something made from them can mean so very much.

One day, when I’m ready, I plan to make memory bears from Tommy’s clothes for our children. And I know those won’t just be bears. They’ll be made from the shirts their dad wore, filled with memories of the man who loved them so much. They’ll be something they can hold onto for the rest of their lives.

So when you trust **Held in His Hands Keepsakes** with your loved one’s clothing, please know that I understand what you are really handing me.

You’re not handing me fabric.

You’re handing me memories.
You’re handing me a piece of someone you love.
You’re trusting me with something that may be completely irreplaceable.

🐄💕 Okay… I think I may have found something new to add to Held in His Hands Keepsakes!
I originally bought this sweet little cow specifically for a special baptism order, but after seeing her all finished, I think she may need to become a regular around here! 🥰
I love how much room she has for personalization. Names, birth information, baptism or dedication dates, Bible verses, sweet sayings… there are so many possibilities to make one completely unique for someone special. ✝️🪡
This one was made for sweet Harper for her baptism, and I just LOVE how she turned out! 💕
So I need your help! Would you like to see me start offering personalized cows and other animals like this? And if you ordered one, what would you have embroidered on it? 🐄

I’m sorry I haven’t been posting lately. As some of you know my husband passed away in May. I haven’t been back in my craft room but once since then. I do plan on still making memory bears and shirts…. I will post again when I’m taking orders again….. ❤️❤️
