Glory in the Story

Some chapters don’t look like glory while you’re living them.

They look like heartbreak.
Failure.
Addiction.
Grief.
Starting over.
Prayers that seem unanswered.
And moments when you wonder, “God, what could You possibly do with this?”

But I’ve learned something about God:

He wastes nothing.

Not the pain.
Not the mistakes.
Not the years you wish you could get back.
Not even the parts of your story you’re still afraid to tell.

Romans 8:28 doesn’t say everything that happens to us is good. It reminds us that God can work through all of it for good.

I used to wish I could rewrite parts of my story.

Now I’m beginning to understand that those are often the very pages where His fingerprints are easiest to see. ❤️

So if you’re somewhere in the middle of a chapter you don’t understand yet…

Don’t close the book.

God is still writing.

And there just might be Glory in the Story. ✝️❤️

Maybe you see who I am today and assume I’ve always been her.

I haven’t. ❤️

There was a little girl who learned how to survive long before she ever learned how to feel safe.

There was a woman who carried trauma, tried to control what she couldn’t, numbed what hurt, and eventually found herself trapped in alcoholism.

There were broken places. Broken relationships. Loss. Fear. Shame. And seasons when I couldn’t imagine God could possibly do anything beautiful with the mess I had made—or the things that had been done to me.

But then Jesus. ✝️

He didn’t erase my story.

He redeemed it.

And somehow, the very places I once wanted to hide have become the places He uses to reach other people.

That’s what Glory in the Story is about.

Not polished people with perfect testimonies.

Real people. Real pain. Real redemption.

Because sometimes the chapter you’re most ashamed of becomes the very chapter someone else needs to hear to believe there’s hope for theirs.

And trust me… I’ve got some chapters to share. 😉❤️

There is Glory in your story, too.

So… who’s behind Glory in the Story? 🤍🔥

Hi, I’m Angel — wife, mom, Jesus follower, recovery ministry leader, Christian life coach, speaker, storyteller, and a woman who has learned firsthand that God wastes absolutely nothing.

I’ve walked through seasons I once wished I could erase. Addiction. Trauma. Brokenness. Fear. Shame. Control. Grief. Starting over.

But somewhere along the way, God began showing me something:

The chapters I wanted to hide were often the very places where His glory became the easiest to see.

That is the heart behind Glory in the Story.

I believe there is power in telling the truth about what God has brought us through — not so the brokenness gets the spotlight, but so Jesus gets the glory.

I’m passionate about creating spaces where people can be real about their stories, discover purpose in what they’ve survived, experience healing and freedom, and recognize the fingerprints of God in places they once thought were ruined beyond repair.

Because I’ve learned…

You can walk through the fire and come out carrying one. 🔥

You can have a past without allowing it to become your identity.

You can tell your story without being ashamed of who you used to be.

And sometimes God doesn’t only rescue you from a place…

He sends you back carrying hope for the people who are still there.

That’s what I want Glory in the Story to be.

A place for testimonies.
A place for honest conversations.
A place for healing.
A place for encouragement.
A place where the messy middle doesn’t disqualify you.
And a place where we continually point back to the One who redeems it all.

My story isn’t perfect.

It’s redeemed.

And I’m convinced yours can carry His glory too. ❤️
