'Top O' The Field', ( Peace Valley Lavender Farm)

A lovely morning spent at Peace Valley Lavender Farm..

This view is literally from the top of the steep field with the planted swatches of different varieties of lavender below.. The scent from the fresh lavender rose gently as the continuous breeze across Lake Galena rose up bringing a soothing and inspiring calm..... A sliver of Lake Galena is visible thru the trees..

"Whispering Pines" was created mostly 'en plein air' on the grounds of Fonthill Castle. The grouping of pine trees were like guardians of the field
watching over the small fuzzy inhabitants along with the birds passing through overhead. ....it was a really nice day to spend a few hours in Nature and absorb the calming vibration of Mother Earth..

Pastel..hard and soft were used..

"Going With The Flow" is a 20 x 24 inch acrylic on canvas. The inspiration was giving myself some artistic license to do something very loose, very different and super freeing. i had such joy while creating using a large brush and random paints.

Last week of "Garden Glories", a pop-up art show at Bucks County Community College, Newtown, Pennsylvania...Zlock Performing Arts Center...both of these pictures are on display and for sale!
They're two small pastels, matted and framed...4 inches by 6 inches on sanded paper.. The inspiration was....what would make ME HAPPY to accidentally come across in nature? A lovely path with daffodils and pretty trees, and the excitement of not knowing what lies around the bend? ("Nature's Path).
Or, coming across a wonderful field of various wild flowers on an afternoon hike, leaving perhaps "Nature's Path" and entering into a clearing with fragrant flowers on each side under a pretty blue sky (Field Of Dreams). Something to ponder .......

A lovely warm morning with the Official Peace Valley Plein Air Painters....this is a 3 inch, by 5 and 3/4 inch pastel on sanded paper....

The calls of the birds, the gentle yet steady breeze, the lapping of the water against the shore, contrasted to the changing yet very dynamic sky, was literally a sensory Feast for the Eyes, Ears and One's Soul....

OH MY GOODNESS!...i am SO Thrilled to know that my portfolio pastel "Vase of Sunshine" has A Home! It was purchased at the Phillips' Mill Community Association Member Art Show, 2026! This 9 x 6 inch pastel was inspired by some freshly cut sunflowers that were graciously gifted to me from the owner of a store where i was Blessed to be able to show my art for 5 years. I brought them home, arranged, studied, re- arranged multiple times .....then finally dived in, painted, adjusted and then painted again.

I put the picture aside for about "4-ish" months, then returned and added the most delicate of touches...then it magically became "done"...

And previously, it was the picture of Doylestown Business Community page .. :)

I am So Honored to have my work brought into someones home...

FINAL HOURS of Phillips' Mill Community Association Member Art Show, today until 5. There is Still Time to pop into your car for a pretty drive just a touch north of New Hope at 2619 River Road. These two pastels were entered into the "M" portfolio bin.
"What Lies Beyond" is a fall pastel of the Canal behind Prallsville Mill Lambertville. And "Twisted Tree" was done on the grounds of Freeman Hall, Doylestown Borough....(this one is so cute, great for a kids room).
