"Bowman's Tower, Guardian of The Delaware" is my other pastel located in the "M" Portfolio, Phillips' Mill Community Association 97th Juried Art Show, 2026. The Mill is located at 2619 River Road, New Hope, PA.

This piece was done 99% en plein air on the bank of the Delaware River across from the Bucks County Playhouse looking south. The day was a tad chilly with a beautiful blue sky, the river running swiftly, and the occasional recreational boater going past. The Tower in the distance made me think of medieval times, when the castles were built high upon hills overlooking waterways. Even though the Tower was built between 1929 and 1931, the hill itself is purported to have been the lookout location for George Washington during the Revolutionary War.

I will be at Phillips Mill today, Saturday October 17 th from 1pm to 5pm. Do stop by to see this most amazing show featuring 100's of works by talented artists in both painting and sculpture!

Come and visit with me at Phillips' Mill Community Association 2619 River Road, New Hope.
I will be there THIS SATURDAY from 1 to 5pm...."MEET THE ARTISTS" of the 97th Juried Art Show!
"SERENITY" is one of two pastels, located in the Portfolio "M". This was an early summer day, with the leaves on the trees gently swaying, and the stream happily gurgling over the rocks and past the grasses. The bridge was crafted from a time gone by when natural elements were used, perhaps rocks and stones from the surrounding area. The entire scene evoked such a calming sense of nature and her gifts to us in this chaotic world, hence "Serenity"

"Bucks County Morning" is a 5 x 7 inch pastel on sanded paper, and done en plein air with the Peace Valley Plein Air Group, October 2026.

It was a cooler sunny fall day, with a light breeze that became steadier as the morning progressed. Birds could be heard in the distance, and the occasional insect flew over to inspect my progress. I was inspired by the long distance vista from one of the rear fields of the Detweiler Farm, Perkasie.

A lovely warm morning with the Official Peace Valley Plein Air Painters....this is a 3 inch, by 5 and 3/4 inch pastel on sanded paper....

The calls of the birds, the gentle yet steady breeze, the lapping of the water against the shore, contrasted to the changing yet very dynamic sky, was literally a sensory Feast for the Eyes, Ears and One's Soul....
